The Wishsong of Shannara by Terry Brooks

Finished Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA last week. Long book with a lot going on, but compelling if you are into history or even politics. It definitely sheds some light on the current state of the world.

Finished Atlas Shrugged. Terrible across the board. It was hard to get through.

Starting the Lord of the Rings trilogy for the first time. I'm liking it so far, kinda slow, but I really like Tolkiens attention to detail. He creates a vivid world as well. Makes me wish I grew up in "Merry England". I'll give it a because I never thought I would like LOTR. I think it helps that I read a bio on Tolkien first.

Although not every story was extremely memorable, the collection was great overall. My favorite stories were "War Game," "Waterspider," "Orpheus With Clay Feet," "The Days of Perky Pat," and the titular story.

I recently finished The Skeleton Crew by Stephen King. I have to say this was a pretty awesome collection of short stories. The Mist is in this and, honestly, it's one of the creepiest, scariest stories that I've read by King so far. I've read a lot of his stuff and it definitely creeped me out. Mrs. Todd's Shortcut is a pretty good one too. Just a lot of great short stories. I think King really shines when it comes to the short stories and I am probably gonna go check out the rest of his short story collections.

Another one I finished just the other week was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. I had read this like ten or twelve years ago and enjoyed it. However, I decided to go back and give it another read and this is such a great book. An amazing story about dual personalities and how the human mind always has the ability to go toward good or evil. I would highly suggest this to anybody who has never read it before.
