i read that. let me know what you think of it

I liked it a lot. I'll def check out another Sigma Force novel, and I found/find thre m-state metals intriguing. I might read more about them.

Through a Window by Jane Goodall
Think Global, Fear Local by David Leheny
An Old Maid by Honore de Balzac

Oh, the life of an English/Anthropology double major...

Promise to Nadia ~ Zana Muhsen

Gentlemen of the Road by Michael Chabon.

Great in terms of prose, plot, and characters. Chabon is a genius, and his embrace of more genre-oriented work (compared to other literary authors) is extremely refreshing.

finished Tuesdays with Morrie today while in the ER. good touching book

Imperial Bedrooms by Bret Easton Ellis. Pretty good and very dark. It was nice to revisit characters from Less Than Zero, his first book.

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown.
What a terrible, terrible let down. His worst book, I think.

What did you think of that one? I thought it was alright but definitely not his best short stories novel.

Yeah, it was just decent to me. I liked a couple of the stories, but they were pretty mundane... nothing too extreme. I'm gonna try 'Just After Sunset' soon.

King, Kaiser, Tsar by Catherine Clay. I was sitting outside with my dog reading it and a bird pooped on the page. Had to order a new one.

I still need to buy that one...i'm a big King fan. Not all of his stories or short stories work for me but the majority keep me happy. I still need to finish a few Barker books as well as some of King's recent works. My buddy at work says Under the Dome is pretty good.

John Gardner - James Bond, Never Send Flowers
John Gardner - James Bond, Man From Barbarossa
John Gardner - James Bond, Death Is Forever

I like 'Just After Sunset' a lot better than 'Everything's Eventual'. I didn't like every story, but several of them were great. Especially 'N'. Be sure to read that one! As a person who actually has ocd, it really freaked me out haha!

-Scott Pilgrim vs. the Universe by Bryan Lee O'Malley

-Rod Serling and the Twilight Zone: The 50th Anniversary Tribute
by Douglas Brode

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson.
Is far from perfect, the book is a bit overflowing at times and oddly paced but still manages to be a page-turner and is a satisfying finale to the series.
3.5/5
