Rodriguez' Planet Terror, although the most desgusting thing I've ever seen,was excellent, a great way to kill some time, but Tarantino's Death Proof sucked @ss. It's just inane chatter by uninteresting characters, intercut with two seconds of extreme violence and a mediocre car chase.

I never watched death proof because so many bad comments were made from some trustworthy people and it doesn't appeal me anyway, but Planet Terror was recommended, first when I heared of it I was a bit "meh" but I watched and had a great time, I'm glad you also enjoyed it! Favorite movie of the month for sure, and one fine unexpected discovery this year!
