When did batman loose the yellow shield in Tas

I'm watching robin's reckoning right now and i notice that batman doesn't have a hellow sheild with a black bat in it. When did he officially change costume in the Tas



I didn't think it was until TNBA that he changed his look and costume, it's not documented anywhere before and for some reason has gone under the radar

has anyone else noticed this?

all was this all part of the flashback scene still, this is a little confusing, it makes the flashing back longer than the actual content...

I think the only reason they did this was to differentiate the costumes just a little bit.

To answer the question in the thread title, it's the beginning of TNBA.

ROBIN's RECKONING was a mostly flashbacks, and Batman had the all black logo in the past. They then switched to it for TNBA.

I wonder which one they show him getting into in MOTP if they ever show a logo at all...

Let's see:

1. The Year One costume (as shown in the flashbacks)
2. Yellow Oval
3. TNBA costume with an updated Black bat symbol

That's only three..?

Unless you counted the Batman Beyond costume, but that adds up to 4.
Wait a minute the JLA / JLU costume offcourse.

I wonder which one they show him getting into in MOTP if they ever show a logo at all...

Never show a logo in that one as I recall: he's all in shadow, so you only see his shape and Alfred's shocked response to it.

Well, in BTAS and all it's iterations, the black bat is usually used to indicate Batman's first costume, so I assume that's the costume he wears in MOTP where Alfred exclaims "Oh my God!"
Great acting by Efrem in that scene, BTW.

i know the artwork is kinda different but are they similar enough to be counted the same...or is it a completely different?

so... in the flashback episode they wanted to show his "first" costume, for the new batman adventures they just wanted to change the suit a bit...

I guess, if you account for the different art styles, that his first costume and the TNBA costumes are essentially the same, yes.

Well, the TNBA does have a more normal-looking pouch-belt.

Also, in the various flashback episodes in BTAS... isn't the "Year One" suit shown to have more of a thickness to the gloves (the gloves aren't flush with the rest of the suit)... and also to not have any spikes on them? I think that may be the case... and I actually like that look of that - like the gloves are actually made of thick leather rather than being painted on.
