When will we see the next Roman epic?

I was rewatching Gladiator and damn, that film was amazing. But then I realize it is 14 years old already and I don't believe that have been any roman epic in the same scale and quality.

There were some good ones and other with big budget, most recently Pompeii that although a terrible film, was very beautiful visually.

So given the fact I'm not the most up-to-date when concerned to film news, I ask you guys. Do we know, or have at least rumors, about the "next" Gladiator?

Do you mean just in terms of historical epics? Because I don't think Rome factors into that at all.
