Where are all the Marvel games??

It takes time to make a great game, so hopefully it being two years away means it's going to be awesome.

Yeah that should be taken as good news.

However, Disney/Marvel should have acted more quickly while the iron is still hot (or whatever it's called) so that we could have had at least one great big title Marvel game at this point. A big Avengers game around this time would be perfect, like Arkham Asylum when TDK was up on the big screens. It feels Disney has been to ignorant to what great games could do for them.

This was just put up.

As previously reported, Marvel and South Korean developer Netmarble have collaborate to produce Marvel Future Fight, an action RPG for iOS and Android devices. This game is available for download today.

Marvel Future Fight has a story written by Peter David and features four modes, including PvE and PvP. Meanwhile, a Villain Siege mode “taps on players’ knowledge of the Marvel Universe to uncover evil plots of the most infamous villains,” while Dimension Rift Missions are meant for a greater challenge.

Marvel Future Fight includes characters such as the Avengers, Spider-Man, Daredevil, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Ghost Rider, and more. The game is available as a free download, and for the first week, an event will allow players to unlock a special Iron Man armour for free.

and yet another mobile game

take the time it took to make 10 of these crappy little games, and Marvel could have something good for consoles

every single one of those games look the same too.

Yeah I've noticed that too. Surely there's someone at marvel looking at diversifying their product a bit?

How I'd love a Spider-Man game like the PS2 Spider-Man 2. The same swinging mechanic but graphically updated to PS4 standard.

That's what I've been asking since then. More than a decade and nothing close.

In honor of Avengers: Age of Ultron’s release, we look back at some of the great Marvel Comics games throughout the years.

Despite the fact that Marvel and Disney could buy the moon at this point, they could never hire competent developers for their games.

Minus the compulsory "do x number of quests/collect y No. of points" and "buy certain upgrade(s) to proceed with story".
And I'd like them to take selecting levels to replay like TASM 1 (allowing the player to replay all side missions) and TASM 2 (have the missions replayed in all their details).

My ideal Marvel game would be something like a mix of a few LEGO games (LEGO Marvel, LEGO Batman 3, and the water effect from LEGO Batman 2) when it comes to environment and teleporting to different areas, but with rich gameplay, paying a lot of attention to each character, gives the feeling like they focus on making gameplay for each character like they want to make a game starring said character.

Say Spider-Man, he enters the Daily Bugle, goes to Queens to visit his aunt's house, and goes to his apartment with a skylight on the roof. His story plot does not involve symbiotes, unless it's one of the alternate costumes the character puts on, and has its perks.

We get Moon Knight, and ride his helicopter, go to his home, put on different costumes.

And more heroes, their lairs, and different costumes, something that feels like a more expansive version of Disney Infinity.

It's like they can't figure out how to use them in a game setting.

no it's more like they're just taking any game dev' studio that comes to their door saying they have a game in mind which is the case with contest of champion's to this game.

All to the people that have come to them are from the mobile area minus

Gazillion which they sought out them selves with older deal's before disey bought them(marvel) which all the other died after the mistake with the Dead pool game Gazillion is the only one left with the older contract that's only answer to marvel.

And Telltale more recent out of it all

which both have promised Home console games

everyone else is from there open door walk in policy that are mostly small mobile makers so far . For now any way after the mistake with Ubisoft which it was marvel's head of games division T.K . idea with bendis's support to make motion control for that fighter. which failed

it make sense that the people at marvel aren't real gamers ether they just go this might make money they're not like Jim lee that played video games while growing up the one's like Jim Lee are working in the game industry with other dev studio's people like Joe mad & Greg Rukka which marvel should hire those studio's and create a publisher house / unite devoted to console titles as people across the web want .

Hell, I'd take another X-Men arcade side scroller.

ya know what'd be fun and I don't know if it would really work as a console game, it's kind of a Nintendo type idea....

but a Marvel track and Field type game
with mini-events
you could play a racing game with all the speedsters, QS, Northstar, etc
Weight lifting with Hulk, Thing, Colossus
Hammer toss with Thor, Beta Ray Bill, Ronan
Gymnastics with BW, Mockingbird, Cap, Taskmaster

stuff like that
IDK, I know it's a strange idea, but the thought of a Racing game with Marvel's speedsters really struck me as something different and fun, and then you can expand it out from there

LOL...that sounds like a pitch for a mobile game and something Disney will likely do when it comes time for the next Olympics. Could be fun. Ive mentioned a Twisted Metal type game using the Marvel license, which I think could be interesting

I like the idea of X-Men: Destiny in theory, never tried the game.
I'd like to see that idea executed properly, in a bigger more expansive Marvel Universe setting, but not with the usual Thanos/Dr. Doom stories.

A DC Universe Online inspired console marvel universe rpg would be cool,Yeah I know there is the Marvel Heroes game but I mean the concept of DCU.

Able to create and customize our own hero or villain character and have him/her being a new character in the marvel comic universe as they battle alongside and against marvel comic characters sounds awesome to me.

The DCU/Marvel Ultimate Alliance/X-Men Legends type of gameplay works but maybe try something different like batman arkham's gameplay with cel shading graphics or something, don't know

X-Men Legends 3 would be awesome. Marvel Utimate Alliance 3 aswell but you know good this time. MUA2 just felt stripped down to nothing.
