You know what I would love?

A Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 that put 16 characters in a field at once if you do four-squad co-op. The levels would be more like 'maps' and it'd be more like an RTS game with all/only hero units.

Up it, and there could also be a versus mode, where players play strengths and weaknesses of individual heroes/villains against each other in factions. Could be uber-epic.
 
It's too bad the latest RTS they have is another version of Avengers alliance which I made it into the beta on sun day after getting my pc back it what you dis crib Dr cosmic well minus having 16 characters all in one place and co-op in the way you want. but i have shield base and all that . it's call Avengers alliance Tactic's.

that wouldn't be a MuA game though. You're creating a brand new series there
 
Well this is what I was talking about Dr cosmic

same look as ultimate allaince but it's an RTS it's on face book(yeah I know face book) you invade base's (Indoors like this pic) and hot zone's (jungle area and any place out side like an urbab city street) with marvel heroes and shield agents you put into position and villains and hydra and it's kinda like playing an FF game to a degree. in that it's turn based.

My first What Is? and I'll be doing a quick playthrough of Marvel: Avengers Alliance Tactics.

alot of people have a fan base for him. though and I met them on MH and other places surprisingly. that may be why.

other wise I'd have said the same. but then again Namor is view differently from Aquaman for some reason. anyway marvel characters are a hot property. when done right. and it has to be done right with games and movies. what I want to know is how marvel signed a deal where a character will be locked out of games? that's was them not thinking straight at all. Especially where there were rights issue with in the comic industry it's self and people have attacked them for it in that same industry of their's. and it's well known, and they signed that? Any way universal can't hold on to it for ever.

I guess it would be. It'd definitely be a spiritual successor to MUA, with the whole co-op squad-based combat, top down view, large character selection and etc. But you're right, with non-linear missions and a bump in mission objectives and players, it is a different game, I'd agree.

Interesting. I haven't played XCOM or whatever, but I'll check that out.​

Hmm that would be cool if they ever have that fully working


well due to the live stream to day this was asked on the marvel heroes forum again(the first was just before the forum revamp and when it in beta as I mentioned once before here) with people explaining to this current person Difference between Action RPG and MMO?

Oh and cause of the new features added like Raids like battling Surtur and the new trade system and the Omega(partially named from the omega mutant category and another thing from another marvel comic 'series mention in todays live stream.)

Marvel Heroes : An Omega Level MMOARPG

Marvel Heroes launched last year in a decidedly less than superheroic state. The game shared many qualities found in the various ARPGs that have come onto the scene since Gazillion CEO David Brevik essentially created the point-and-click ARPG genre with Diablo in 1996.

I don't play Disney infinity but I like the figures just for display. Shame that they did Kid Nova instead of the Real Nova.

that's cause Sam's featured in the current show of spider man in his new team which Joe Q is a producer of and that there's a rights issue with the original one(Rick Rider) which will be resolved this year according to the dev's of marvel heroes and he will show up there first, Since fans demanded him (while the others that wanted sam that were out voted were ticked they have to wait for that version due to the want of Rick ) and the others (Avengers Alliance) etc will fallow suit eventually.

Wonder what the rights issue is. Marvel have 100% control of Nova :huh:

I'd like Infinity to get some X-Men (comic) characters. Marvel. Has the rights to do merch for them, not sure if they have video game rights though

something to do with the creator of Rick Rider for some reason. they won't go into details but it'll be resolved this year hopefully and we'll see Rick rider in games from then on in . the X-Men (comic) version are likely to show up, but marvel is really obsessed with the movie aspect of late. So they are pushing the movies avengers alot with this and spider man with their current animated series with the characters in that show . Anyone that wants movie version of those two (spider man and X-Men) latters are out of luck since marvel is in a bit of an at odds thing with the other movie studio's and using costumes that were in those movies. So don't expect them.

Yeah I wouldn't expect movie games or such, but based on comics, they should do those as they've been Marvels premier characters for decades outside of the movies.

Quick Nova Update:

  • Will be released after Rogue (who is after Mr. Quill).
  • Will be Sam as default. Since Sam is current, that is the only option we have.
  • We want to do a Richard Rider enhanced costume at release and provide it free for people who preordered Nova. If this proves impossible for any reason, they Founders pack people will get whatever alternate costume exists at release and will ALSO get the Rider costume if/when it's released. In addition, we will add something else from the store to thank Founders Packs player, TBD.
  • Nova is the human rocket and his gameplay embraces that.
  • We are all very excited to launch this dude and we simply cannot wait any longer.

We cannot talk about the details of Nova timing for licensing reasons.
Suffice to say, we have had many conversations / negotations about it and we still are...

Fair enough. Odd that it's just this one character, though, out of all those released thus far and announced for the future, that seems to have issues surrounding the licensing. Since it was originally announced as Sam, and that pre-dated the introduction of the character to the comics (if I recall correctly), makes me wonder if it has anything to do with the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon and licensing of characters therein?

I'll be glad to see Nova finally added to the game, but I can't lie I'll be quite disappointed if we don't get at least one enhanced Rich costume (as he's had quite a few!) since he's one of my all-time favourite Marvel characters.

The issue is that while a lot of us want to play Rich, Sam was the one they initially advertised and due to forum feedback, his release was pushed back. Unfortunately, Marvel's obviously having issues with Sam and Rich so this has delayed the process a year. I would obviously like Richard Rider and lots of his costumes (thanks @comixfan) in the game, but I'd also like to play as Nova too. It's been a year and I won't lie that part of me wants my UP order finally fulfilled. I understood why he was delayed, but a year is too long to wait

My predications...

Years biggest console title - maybe an avengers game?
Updates to favourites - lego marvel superheroes I hope (although it will probably be the mmo)

Entirely new game - guardians of the galaxy/spiderman game.

Amazing Spider-Man is cool, Amazing Spider-Man 2 had potential.
Sure some of the faults of the second are from Beenox, but I'm interested in seeing how good it could have been if not for budget cuts

Right now I'm more interested in a Marvel Knights game, handling a bunch of street characters; Moon Knight, DareDevil, Punisher, Iron Fist & Luke Cage, and make the game free roam, with switching ability the style of Ultimate Spider-Man video game, and access to the headquarters of each one
 
A Marvel Knights game could be fantastic,great potential and those characters would be fun to play as and especially DareDevil and Iron Fist
