Where are all the Marvel games??

I'm sick of these cheap games. Seriously Marvel/Disney, you SUCK at the game department.

The Contest of Champions looks like the Injustice iOS app. Hopefully its as fun and addicting.

It's about the controls with IOS among other stuff and most of the marvel stuff doesn't always work that great. We'll see how that does. hopefully it's better the the other stuff.

Nothing planned right now, but if the right team came with the right story, then yes.
and it's mostly marvel more so then Disney I'm not sure about the current head of the games division marvel has. Ether hire someone that has the same history as Jim lee for Marvel and add that person to help that man out or fire the dude that's the head of that department... They seem to like him(the current head of marvels game division) there so I say start with the former and see how that goes.

Status of Namor
@yukonsam said: IGN did an interview with Kevin Feige posted on 7/18, and it includes the following tidbit about Namor. I'd like to know what the entanglements are and how they affect the game rights (anything to do with Namor being a mutant, for example?), but maybe it's a sign that things are moving in the right direction.
Feige: Yes, but it’s slightly more complicated than that. Let’s put it this way – there are entanglements that make it less easy. There are older contracts that still involve other parties that mean we need to work things out before we move forward on it. As opposed to an Iron Man or any of the Avengers or any of the other Marvel characters where we could just put them in.
Cause of this marvel heroes 2015 has already stated they can do the work they wanted for him and they will bring back his in game model which was suspended for a bit. this also mean's games like marvel avengers alliance and any other potential future title be they on console and so forth can use him now.

NAMOR

Mr. B said they do have access to use him.

If you're asking about the stream for Namor it's in their personal one. There's actually a decent amount of info in there about Namor and other things surrounding what's kinda ok and what's temporarily off limits http://www.twitch.tv/thejunglequeen

The second bottom quote is from page 10 of the same link
And since that's the case the others will fallow suit.

If you guys want Marvel games, you should play Disney Infinity 2.0.

I'm sure they plan to. Nothing wrong with wanting more on consoles though which contest of champions should have been as people in the game informer comments even stated.

And even though the people Marvel heroes 2015 are open to it, they want to put a lot more content out first before some people start getting mad if they have half of their team split off cause they want what they are playing to have all the attention and there's just putting out enough content that will satisfy those on the consoles as well.

Nope. Disney took the license back from Activision and with any luck they dont give it back. Id be more interested in another publisher having a new studio make an action RPG

sorry luis4u what Havok said is correct and if they do try it Game play wise ( with some difference's I'm sure) it won't have that name nether will XML . Cause some one at Activison will have the bright Idea to sue which will be stupid, but they will do it. They wont use those names ever again.

Maybe Warner can get the licensed..:wow::wow:

Just watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier (fantastic movie), and I'm suddenly dying for a good Captain America game. Not expecting one, but I really want one.

Yep, theres a lot of great characters that need a good game. Cap and Iron Man are two that are high on my list. With the incredible success of the Arkham franchise, im surprised Disney hasn't tried something similar. Find a studio with an extreme amount of passion for one of these characters, say Captain America, and see what they can do with a solid budget and plenty of dev time. I mean you absolutely can be rewarded as the Arkham games have proven to be a gigantic critical and financial success.

The Lego games are unique. Thats a joint deal between Marvel and Lego and Lego and WB. Doubtful you'll see Marvel hand the rights to say a Captain America game over to WB Games.

Maybe who knows maybe one day we may see a marvel vs DC crossover game

Haha anythings possible.

One thing I do wonder is, if Disney decides they want to make Marvel based games the likes of say an Arkham Asylum, will they hand over their entire roster of characters to a publisher like EA? Or will they license these characters out individually?

Maybe this time will be better..

I've stated before to someone in a different forum the reason Lego can get aways with it is cause they are an independent publisher . If they were just a studio ad were fully/totally owned by Warner it wouldn't have happened. they can do any Ip they feel like.

I think a few years ago, outside of a handful of specific cases like say Spider-Man, they would have done the whole roster. However after the tremendous success of the Avengers stuff, I have to imagine Marvel would have more leverage in licensing individual heroes, and developers might even want to work with a specific character.
