Where can I get manhunt 2?

I'm pretty sure the release date has been suspended because of stupid lawsuits

According to Gamestop, it ships out October 1st

But don't you guys know that it's a fact that if you play this game, you will turn into a homicidal maniac that won't be able to differentiate the difference between right and wrong?

Oh you didn't?
Neither did I.

Manhunt 2 has been suspended/de facto canceled. It got an AO rating in the United States. Banned in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and Italy. If submitted a possible ban in Germany. Nintendo and Sony stated that they refuse to let the game appear on the Playstation 2, Playstation Portable, and Wii systems.

And frankly the game looked horrible. It was simply going on it's controversy and nothing else.

I loved the first one. It was one of my favorite games of all time.

What is the point of an AO rating if you can't even release a game with it? I can understand places like Wal Mart not wanting to sell the game but videogame retail stores should sell it. All they need to do is ask for ID and sell it to the people that want it and are mature enough to handle it.

Damn right.
Sad thing is, not all people that are old enough for it are mature enough for it.
But I still don't support the fact that retailers will not sell AO games.
I thought the first game was great, innovative and pretty brutal.
I was so stoked for this one and they throw me a kick to the nuts at the last second.
Awesome.

It's all up to the retailers whether or not to sell it. And almost every retailer refuses to do so. Manhunt 2 isn't going to come out for quite some time:

1. Retailers will not sell it in the United States.

2. Both Sony and Nintendo have said that they will not let the game appear on their platforms.

3. The game is flat out banned in several countries.

4. It will most likely suck.

Rockstar shot themselves in teh foot bc they had to have imagined this scenario. What I can see them doing is editing the game and releasing it as an M game and tehn releasing an uncensored PC version

I never even played the first game. Can someone explain to me the story?

The story revolves around a man on Death Row named James Earl Cash, sentenced to death by lethal injection due to a grievous crime, the nature of which is never explained. An exceedingly wealthy former Hollywood director named Starkweather, who runs a seedy community in an impoverished town named Carcer City, bribes the doctors to inject Cash with a powerful sedative instead.

The Director, as he likes to call himself, creates and distributes snuff films through a company named Valiant Video Enterprises. He sets up Cash as his latest star using the corrupt Carcer City police force, as well as his personal "Cerberus" guards, to corral Cash into butchering Carcer's local gangs on camera to make violent, visceral, underground snuff films.

From Wikipedia.

Fun game.

Seriously, all this is doing is making Take-Two look more ripe for acquisition. They're probably thanking the heavens that Grand Theft Auto IV is comming out this year.

I could see if retail stores like Walmart, Target, or even Best Buy ban it. But not video game stores such as EB Games or Gamestop. I mean thats the point of their existence, to sell video games. Therefore they should sell video games no matter what. AO rating or not. Even if it sucks. Hey, they sell the Superman Returns game. That's downright bad.

Well, Gamestop doesn't sell AO games. End of story. That's their store policy and their's nothing you can do to change it. And not only that, even if they allowed the sale of Manhunt 2, places such as Wal-Mart, Target, and Best Buy still won't and that's where most people go to buy video games. Plus the game has been outright banned in several countries. There are still too many restrictions on the sale of Manhunt 2 in order for Take-Two to make a profit on it.

I wonder if Porn stores would sell AO games? Or if their morals are above it too.

The original sucked. It was amusing at first, but once the gimmick wore off it just became repetetive and tired. Sneak, kill, repeat. There was absolutely no depth to the game play outside of that. It sold on controversy and this one probably would've been worse and done the same.

I worked for GameStop for about a year and a half. I was there during the Hot Coffee incident, and I remember asking my regional manager (he lived 5 mintes away from the store) why we didn't sell AO games. He said that the simple fact of the matter was that not everyone who worked there did their jobs well enough to keep M games out of kids' hands, and that if someone screwed up and sold an AO game to someone under 18, we would have serious problems.

It won't get released until they take out the corpse rape and genital eating.

Stuff like that makes me believe the entire A.O. thing is all a publicity stunt. Rockstar must've been smart enough to realize that type of stuff would never be approved for M. They put it in to stir up controversy and in turn publicity. The temporary ban (and I say temporary because an M version will be released at some point) will only make people want it more.
