wasnt Mikaboshi responsible for damn near destroying the entire Greek Pantheon recently? Hercules siding with him seems unlikely.

Well, Athena's appealing to the Council Elite of Earth's pantheons for help against the Skrull invasion. Presumably, neither she nor Herc get to choose the team.

Conceptually, the team is meant to be the gods of each of Earth's corners: Snowbird from the north, Mikaboshi from the east, Ajak from the... I guess south, and Herc from the west. Demagorge is there because he's Gaea's first child and greatest protector, and essentially because Van Lente wanted a dude called "the God-Eater" on Herc's side in a fight against other gods.

yeah I guess that makes sense. Either way i'm looking forward to this.
Why Ajak I wonder? why not any of the other Eternals? like Ikaris or Gilgamesh or something.

Gilgamesh is apparently still missing, as we learned from the last issue of Incredible Hercules. I don't know why they didn't use another Eternal, though. Ajak is definitely not one of the first that comes to my mind. Maybe that's why, though. Maybe they're trying to familiarize people with some other Eternals, since Ikaris, Thena, and Makkari have been the only major ones getting a lot of recognition lately.

Yeah... Ajak from what i remember, is a huge *****ebag. If I was picking Gods/Eternals to fill out my team he'd be WAY down at the bottom of the list for me.

... Think they'll mention why nobody on this council of dieties thought to try to contact Thor or the other Asgardians?
I mean, as awesome as this arc could have been, imagine how much moreso it would be with Thor and Herc both on there.

I'm still thinking Thor may not have come back by this time. Remember, only about a week has passed in Thor's comic, and that was mostly devoted to creating New Asgard from nothing. There may be a window where this stuff with Herc and the Council Elite is happening before Thor came back.

Oh yeah. Damn i'm usually pretty good about keeping track of that sort of thing... Even with the nightmare of continuity f*** ups that Marvel has been fond of letting slide lately.

I probably just ignored that cause i'm itching for a damn Thor/Herc crossover.

Thinking about it more, I would say probably a week and a half to two weeks have passed. Don did go to Africa for a few days.

Anyway, Van Lente said that he planned a Thor/Herc meeting for after "Sacred Invasion," so hopefully in a few months we'll finally get a reunion between the two.
