I hope the trilogy pack is 6 disc. If not i will get two disc.

That damn Sony exclusivity tipped the scale for me in favor of the PS3 for my new Full HD TV, so there you go : Blu-ray Trilogy.

I had this on DvD months ago and in perfect quality, I kinda wanan go watch it now.

I own SM1 and SM2 on DVD, but I think I can live without owning SM3, as sad at that makes me feel.

Because he didn't like sm3 and therefore will not be getting it on dvd, which imo is the smartest thing to do. I've seen people here who have bashed sm3 to high heaven and yet, they still plan on buying the dvd, that makes no sense.

I'd be one of those people. I bashed SM3 simply b/c it didn't live up to expectations.

That said, I didn't find it unwatchable, I still feel I can somewhat enjoy the movie despite its numerous flaws.

Most importantly however, is that it wraps up some of the storylines in the trilogy presented in SM1 and SM2. That is the main reason why I'm buying it.

Most people are buying it to complete the Spidey trilogy.

There are really only three types of DVD's i will buy any copy of.

Kevin Smith movies, Martin Scorsese movies and Spider-Man.

So w/o a doubt. i will be picking up the WS 2-Disc SE DVD and enjoy all the way up until/if they release a 3.1 style dvd or directors cut or extended cut....wont matter. Ill dish out the extra cash for it.

2009 or 2010; I'll wait for the extended cut which should feature more stuff that was in the Spider-Man 3 novelization.

Then "most people" have OCD. To buy a movie that you didn't like just because it completes a trilogy is flat out idiotic.

Not really idiotic, to each his own.

But, to me, I don't see why bother getting the movie, just because it was a let-down, imo. The hype made it become this incredible movie, and I thought so too, that it would be an amazing movie, but sadly it wasn't. Again, imo, lol.

There actually ARE some movies that people absolutely detested in theaters but loved on DVD. From what I hear, certain film-rolls and screens made the film experience better or worse. I remember the second viewing of Spider-Man 3 being better than the first; the quality was different for some reason...

That's not what I was saying, though I do agree that SM3 on DVD is certainly a different experience (the theatrical version, by comparison, looks very dull and washed out). My point was that people who buy movies they don't like for the sake of completion is ridiculous. Because, honestly, nobody else gives a damn if you* have a complete series on DVD.

*Not you, Kaizer. Just the collective "you."

I'll be getting the WS 2 Disc SE.

Hahahaha.

It's like a TV show though...people feels like it's needed to buy every season, like 24 or Prison Break, so they must do that, so with a trilogy, like Spidey, or Star Wars, Rocky, etc., then people will keep doing that, just to feel good about themselves.

And I'm one of them, I mean, I have all the season of my fav. TV shows and of Rocky and of X-Men.

^ Wow, you brought a lot to this discussion.

EDIT: Oops...that was ment for that Clown guy.

I'm getting everything except the Blu-Ray discs of all 3 movies.

I have on order the single disc of Spider-Man 3, the 2 disc set of Spider-Man 3 & the trilogy dvd pack. I also requested Spider-Man 3 on dvd as an early Christmas present from my sister. She only gets me the single disc release of any movie though since the 2 disc sets are so expensive in the stores.

Never thought I'd see you say that about a Spidey movie, Lizzy.

Can't say I blame you, though.

More then likely the 2 disk. But I am still hoping for a extended cut.

I think there are some people who complete the trilogy simply b/c you would then be able to experience the entire story from beginning to end (even the bad parts). I don't believe its to show off, just to be able to go through the entire story whenever you feel like it.

Well, I'll be buying the 2-disc collector's edition. Can't wait to get this one at home. I'm more than a little bummed that we'll probably have to wait until SM4 comes out to get an extended cut, but that's all right.
