I am just curious how ppl choose which console to buy a multi-console game for if they have more than 1?

I was thinking for games that are single player and no multiplayer (like Arkham Asylum) then I would buy on PS3 and if there is a huge multiplayer involved (like Modern Warfare 2) then I would buy it for the 360 since I know more ppl with that console

I switch and swap. I'll get a multiplat. title on my 360 then the next multiplat. I will get on my PS3.

Exceptions:

Online: When it comes to online I usually will pick up the PS3 version since I don't have Live and, frankly, see no point in paying for that when I've yet to have any problems playing games online over PSN. So, even if I got a multiplat. title on the PS3 and the 360 is due for the revolving process I'll pick up the PS3 version and then bump the next multiplat. to the 360 version. If the PS3 version was on the revolve anyway; no harm, no foul. That's rarely an issue as I usually stick with single player titles, but it has come up in the past

Exclusive Content: Despite revolving process, if a multiplat. title has exclusive content I will buy that version. Then bump the next multiplat. title to whichever version was skipped

Yeah, that's how I choose my games. A game like Call of Duty or Madden, I'll buy for the 360. And a game like Dead Space i'll buy for the PS3.

Exclusive content, is what sways me I think.

If there's none, then I might go with the system I played it on before.

For example, I played COD4 on the 360, so when I buy MW2...I'll most likely get it for the 360.

I played MGS4, which is exclusive to, the PS3...so I'll probably get Raiden's game for the PS3.

Exclusive content, like GTA IV's DLC or Batman's The Joker DLC...will sway me to one or the other, just to not miss out on it.

I almost always go for my 360 unless it is an exclusive for the PS3. Why? Because I love achievements. Their fun. The online is MUCH MUCH better. Yes, I'd rather pay 50 bucks a year for LIVE! than just get PSN for free. And typically most multiplatform games look better on the 360(Like Rainbow Six) even though my PS3 is more powerful. And the 360, 9 out of 10 times have the exclusive content (GTA 4, UT3). And when the PS3 has exclusive content they end up selling it on LIVE! anyway (Spider-Man 3). And I've heard the reason the graphics are better on the 360 is because people typically start development on a game using the 360 first and then port it to the PS3.

Though Dead Space does look better on the PS3. Best survival horror game ever. I've only had three games scare me and that one did it the worst.

Oh, and I like the 360 controller better, and more of my friends have a 360 then a PS3. So if I want to play with the majority of my friends I'd have to go with my 360.

The 360 is, and will always be my main system. When I get a ps3, that will mostly be for the ps3 exclusive games.

I bought the Wii because I skipped the N64 and Gamecube generation, so I was more than happy to finally get back into Nintendo's world of fantastic franchises. Plus the chance to download games off of the VC that I grew up with.

I bought the 360 because of Live as well as the games coming out for their marketplace.

I have a PC and a PS3

Multiplayer: I always choose PS3 simply bc the online audience tends to be larger and I know more people that game with a PS3 over a PC. With no online component, things become more equal.

Price: PC games tend to be about $10-20 cheaper so that comes into play.

Controls: For PC, its a mouse/keyboard/360 controller vs a DS3 on the PS3. I had a choice of whether to get Fallout 3 on either platform but chose the PC simply bc the m/k setup is far superior to a gamepad. Other titles, controls really arent much of an issue for the most part. bc Im fine with a 360 gamepad or a PS3 one.

Mods: The PC can support mods; with teh exception of UT3, the PS3 can not. If the game has a heavy modding community such as Marvel Ultimate Alliance or Fallout 3, then PC all the way

Trophies: Kind of silly but now that all PS3 games support it, I sometimes take that into account. I know when Tomb Raider Underworld came out, it didnt have trophy support so for this reason, I got the game on the PC instead. Had it shipped with it, I might have reconsidered.

9 out of 10 times have the exclusive content (GTA 4, UT3).
UT3 wasnt the best example to use considering it doesnt have any exclusive content on the 360. The PS3 version has more to offer.

I pretty much get all multi plat games on the 360. Iv been connected to Live a lot longer than i have the PSN plus online experience is better on the 360(not the people necessarily, just the interface etc). Now if one systems has an exclusive that really interests me, id go for that systems title.

Considering that I only have a PS3 and Wii, whenever I have to choose between a multiplatform game, I'm obviously going with the PS3 version on account that multiplatform Wii games tend to suck :p

Pretty much the same here. If a game is multiplat and I plan on buying it, I get it for the 360.

I usually buy just exclusive games for the Wii such as De Blob, and the upcoming Boy and his Blob, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Monster Hunter 3, and Final Fantasy CC: Crystal Bearers.

I have a Wii and 360. I can't think of a single game that I couldn't decide which to get it for.

i also go for PS3, unless they dont have it. ie : today i stopped by walmart to grab the new HP game. they didint have the ps3 version, so i got the PS2 one.

PS3 so my games are scratch resistant. Also I hate my bro's 360, freezes on everything.

Online- I get it for Xbox

Not online- I usually get it for Xbox

Not online, and has some special thing only for that platform- Whatever platform it is that has the special thing

I don't want to do this, but I have to point out the irony of your signature. You're calling posters here ******ed, but you yourself have used the word "sympathy" in a way that is completely wrong. If you would have said "I sympathize with him about this," it would have been right, but well, let's go to the dictionary...

"1. harmony of or agreement in feeling, as between persons or on the part of one person with respect to another.
2. the harmony of feeling naturally existing between persons of like tastes or opinion or of congenial dispositions.
3. the fact or power of sharing the feelings of another, esp. in sorrow or trouble; fellow feeling, compassion, or commiseration."

"I share this harmony of or agreement in feeling, as between persons or on the part of one person with respect to another." is both redundant and wrong. Sentiment was probably the word you were looking for.
