If you were told that you could have an exotic pet to raise from birth to adulthood but you only had the following choices, which would you pick and why?

Something that isn't poisonus or really, really gross to look at. Depends what you call exotic too...

I'm already raising two ferrets. My parents call them exotic because they're not fish, cats, dogs, or birds. They were about 6 weeks old when I got them, and it's more or less like taking care of very hairy human babies. And not just the circus folk type.

Ferrets are amazing. I really miss mine. We always had ferrets when I was a kid. Although ours were working ferrets more than pets they were still pretty affectionate.

I don't like having to feed another creature or having to build my life around when it has to poo and pee.
In a fantasy world I'd like a friendly Gorilla or Tiger.

I don't know about from birth I would be terrified it would die...but I have a ferret that I've had since it was 12 weeks old.

She is rather comely.

Okay, now that the choices are up...out of those, a peacock. My friend had 4 or 5 when we were kids and they were fun.

In terms of smaller animals......an otter or an ocelot.

Now that I see the poll:

1) K-Fed ain't exotic, yo. He domestic.
2) SQUID would be wicked in an aquarium. Like art.

Ferrets are exotic pets. That's why many places have banned them from being owned or sold.

We're also very sexy. :)

squid would be cool.

i wouldn't want a roadrunner because i wouldn't want to have to be cleaning up blown up, squished, or burned coyotes all the time.
