Which of the New 52 will you be sticking with?

Well I don't understand it. Throwin' money away on s**t you don't even like. And even if you did have this epic collection, are you gonna sell it? No. If you HAD to, you wouldn't even get what you paid for it. Insanity! :argh:

Well I might have been unclear then, because VERY few issues were issues I didn't at least like. I'm just saying there have been some arcs/issues here and there that I probably could've saved my money on (I'm just listing David Hine's recent Impostors arc in Detective as an example off the top of my head), but what comic fan can't say that? A couple of issues in, I knew it wasn't going to be something I LOVED, but I stuck with it because I've collected Detective since '05 or '06. And I certainly enjoyed reading that arc.

I probably could've saved my money, yes, but it's freaking Batman, my favorite since I was a kid. That's all I'm saying. Don't know about everyone else. If a title is s***, I'll drop it, plain and simple. To me at least, Batman and Detective have never been s*** in the few years I've been reading it.

If you've been collecting Batman and Detective Comics since OYL, I think it should be relatively easy to let go of those titles.

For Motown, at minimum I would think that would have every issue of Detective Comics from issue 700 and up. That's a very long uninterrupted run considering that Detective Comics ended only a few issues short of 900. He's gone through the greatness and the worst of the past 15 years of Detective Comics, and an emotional attachment can form when someone has a 200+ issue run on the title.

Another example would be me having every issue of Superman from #500 until it ended with issue #714. So yeah, I'll continue on with it.

Again, I might've been unclear, but I certainly don't want to let go of the titles fully (if that's what you meant) -- Batman is going to be incredible right out of the gate, I'm sure -- but I just mean that when the occasional sort of fill-in arc or issue pops up, I shouldn't feel obligated to pick it up to keep the series going. Chances are I'll at least enjoy reading the issue, but it's not really a necessary purchase. I know a 5 year collection isn't nearly as big as the ones you're talking about.

I'm sticking with all the new titles I picked up, which is so far Swamp Thing, Action Comics, Animal Man and Stormwatch. The weakest link was Stormwatch, but it was good enough that I'll stick with it for at least an arc. I may go back and pick up OMAC, too, if my LCS still has it. I hear a lot of good things, and I always dug the concept.

So far, I've only been able to pick up Action Comics and Green Arrow.....both interesting but not great. I'll stick with them for another issue or two and see where they're heading.

hopefully the Super books will all be great, and I'll stick with all of them....

so far, I've only read Action Comics #1.........be picking up Superboy tomorrow.

Supergirl and Superman are the 2 books I have the highest expectations for........

I don't have much hope for Superboy, but there's never been an incarnation of the character I've really liked. Same with Supergirl, unless you count Power Girl.

I'll be sticking with Detective Comics for at least an arc. The other books though I so far plan on keeping for the long term, especially Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Action Comics, and Stormwatch.

Keeping:
Justice League
Action Comics
Batgirl
Batwing
Detective Comics
Green Arrow (I know it sucks right now, but I don't want to be missing a bunch of issues if it does get good)
Justice League International
OMAC
Deathstroke
Demon Knights
Green Lantern
Resurrection Man
Suicide Squad
Superboy

Unsure:
Everything else

Dropping: Nothing until after the second issues.

Not sure what it was about week 3 of the reboot or if I was just in a ****** mood when I got home but I was really really underwhelmed.

Then maybe you should've waited three weeks to make your ****ing post.

Oh snap. :o

For week #2:

Keeping:
Batman & Robin
Batwoman
Demon Knights
Frankenstein: Agent of SHADE
Green Lantern

On the fence:
Superboy

Dropping:
Legion Lost

Keeping:

Batman & Robin
Batwoman
Demon Knights
Deathstroke (which shocks the hell out of me)
Frankenstein, Agent of SHADE

On the fence:

Grifter
Red Lanterns
Suicide Squad

Dropping:

Legion Lost
Resurrection Man
Mister Terrific
Superboy

You didn't like Superboy, Tito?

Elaborate, Winston.

So far in week # 2 I've only read Resurrection Man and it was really good. The art was touchy in parts but I'll definitely be sticking with this to see where it goes.

Well, Muhammad, I feel like if you're gonna go through the task of writing up a new origin story for a character as established as Kon was, you need to make it worth the change and the process of visiting old territory for readers familiar with the character. To me, this just felt like a retread of what we already knew - except with the minor addition of an overbearing doctor at the helm of the project that maintains Superboy, and a generous Rose Wilson cameo. Not really anything worth redoing the origin, even to attract new readers.

Plus, I don't know that I liked how incredibly smart they made him right off of the bat. Half of his captions read like he's perfectly adjusted to the climate of outside world, which is made clear to not be the case then somehow contradicted by a virtual reality simulator, and the only times that he stumbles to comprehend something feels forced. I would have preferred one or the other - incredibly smart or obliviously childlike.

The art didn't really grab me, either.

The two I'm dropping I really really really didn't like. Green Arrow really broke my heart.

Good points.

All of that I noticed to...it just bugged me less.

I'm actually not dropping anything.

Not to say I love everything, I definitely have multiple tiers of how much I like different titles, but I'm obsessed with knowing everything going on in the DCU.

The only title I've outright hated so far is red lanterns, and I'm concerned that atrocitus and the red lantern corps may never recover from the damage done to them.

I'm thinking that they are trying to explain why Beez goes of with the new guardians and what better reason than a failed revolt.

So is this Sinestro Green Lantern thing going to last or do we see Hal back in the drivers seat in a few issues?

I wonder whats going to get cancelled first out of the new 52

Of what I've read so far-

Keeping:

Frankenstein: Agent of SHADE
Batwoman
Swamp Thing
Red Lanterns
Deathstroke

Dropping:

Batwing
OMAC
Batman and Robin
