Which of the New 52 will you be sticking with?

Updated List.

Keeping:

Action Comics
Animal Man
Batman and Robin
Justice League International
Red Lanterns
Static Shock
Stormwatch
Swamp Thing

Borderline:

Batgirl
Frankenstein

Dropping:

Green Lantern

Green Lantern's no good?
How come?

Thus far, I'm not too crazy about Static, Batwing, or Detective, but I'm going to give them at least one more issue to wow me. Ended up picking up Animal Man, Swamp Thing, and Men at War off of a friend's suggestion. Liked them well enough to keep reading for now.
Haven't got a chance to pick up this week's comics yet, so I can't comment on them accurately.

I guess I could make wild accusations without any foundation.

"That's it! I'm dropping Batman and Robin! I'm tired of all the child abuse!"
:cmad:

I will say, shockingly, Johns' characterization of Hal was stupid as **** in issue #1. It was like reading an issue from the 60s; where a character's motivation is so exaggerated it's laughable.

I wonder whats going to get cancelled first out of the new 52

Hawk and Dove is a very good candidate, C list characters, reviled artist, no spectacular reviews so far and 51 other titles to compete with.

Demon Knights- swords and sorcery = no superheroes= low sales. It's been getting good reviews and I can see it surviving for a while on that.

Animal Man/ Frankenstein Agent of SHADE/ Resurrection Man/ every other dark book: I can guarantee some of these will be the first cancelled.

Red Hood/ Batwing/ Birds of Prey- Red Hood isn't a well liked character and he's not even being written by the person who writes him best (Winick), Batwing could be confusing for new readers (whats Batman doing in Africa? Whos this Batwing guy? Why should I care?) and Birds of Prey doesn't have much appeal without Gail Simone on board.

I bet Animal Man will last for a pretty long time. It actually has pretty wide appeal for such a small character thanks to Morrison's run.

I'm hoping Frankenstein will last a while too. It's pretty awesome.

I'd say Hawk and Dove, Mister Terrific, Batwing, etc. are all of the big candidates.

I predict that Batwing, Resurrection Man, O.M.A.C., Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E., Men of War, Blackhawks, DC Universe Presents, Mister Terrific, Grifter, Voodoo, and I, Vampire will be the first books to go.

I think that Hawk & Dove will eventually get cancelled, but last a tad bit longer than those books. I think that Demon Knights will eventually get cancelled, but will last a tad bit longer due to connections with Stormwatch.

Which is a shame cuz Frankenstein is awesome.

But I've learned a long time ago that people don't read awesome books. :o

I've been betting on Hawk and Dove being cancelled from the time I first heard Liefeld was attached (it's not beating a dead horse if the horse is still in the damn race). Add on top of that the bad reviews I've been hearing about it, and I have little doubt about its future.

I've been seeing the opposite. Reviewers have been kind to this one from what I've seen. Liefeld's art is way too jarring for me to give it a try though. He's definitely the textbook definition of "self taught artist" for better or worse. I need a good combo of textual and visual storytelling and not one over the other. In other words no matter how well written it is if a book looks and flows like **** in the art dept then it's still ****.

The only title I've outright hated so far is red lanterns, and I'm concerned that atrocitus and the red lantern corps may never recover from the damage done to them.

Really?!? cause up until it got to the point that Atrocitus revisited his origin I wasn't caring about the book and then at that point it hooked me. I guess I'm just that empathic but now I see the potential in the concept.

Keeping: Action Comics, Swamp Thing, Batman & Robin, Deathstroke, Suicide Squad. All great so far, with SS being slightly iffy, but my affection for Harley and Deadshot wins out.

Borderline: Detective Comics. I haven't decided whether or not I'm picking up issue 2.

Still waiting on: Batman, Catwoman, Red Hood, JL Dark.

Picking up late thanks to good reviews: Frankenstein, Animal Man

Expect to enjoy but waiting for trade: Batwoman, Batgirl

As of right now I do not want OMAC or Resurrection Man to be cancelled. Those books were very cool and people need to check those out for their sheer awesomeness!

I'm going to be keeping with Justice League and Batman. I'll probably pick up Superman as well. I'm going to be dropping Green Lantern though.

I'll be sticking with

Batwoman- my favourite character of all time, two great writers, two fabulous artists I love everything about this series

Stomwatch and Demon Knights- love the characters love the writer and love the artwork on these books and the stories are great crazy fun

Batgirl- the first issue wasn't perfect but I enjoyed it and I love Simone's writing

Frankenstein agent of S.H.A.D.E - this series is great crazy :awesome: ness and I love the concept

Action Comics- Grant Morrison. Writing Superman.'Nuff said

And I'm on the fence about Suicide Squad. I found the first issue kind of meh and I'm mostly angry that they cancelled Secret Six and THIS is what we get to take its place

Also if they killed off Savant I'mma be :cmad:

Keeping all GL titles, Batman, Action Comics, JL and Superman.
Undecided on Detective Comics, Batman and Robin, think i am dropping Green Arrow, not really optimistic bout it.
Gonna check out Nightwing.

Wow, several people are already 100% sure they'll be keeping comics that haven't even come out yet.

I hope they're all disappointed.

Yeah, I"m petty like that. :o

Damn it, DC. I didn't want to keep more than three, but you've really forced my hand. I hate you, DC.

...your comments are really dumb.

Ollie Queen has been a millionaire CEO from before Apple even existed.

Grifter is character that's been in the Wildstorm universe for forever.

And lastly, Superboy isnt about Superman. It's about Kon-El - a character that's been around for over 15 years and has always been a clone of Superman (an alien) and Lex Luthor.
