Which type of guy are you?

Given that those classifications are derived from ethology, with most of the negative behaviors removed, I hope I'm none of those.

I am:
Σ Α Χ

That's 'Sigma', 'Alpha', 'Chi', it reads 'S A C', but since 'chi' looks like 'X', I guess you can read it 'SEX'.
No disrespect to the member of the same name.

Why not just use epsilon?

;-)

I took it from an episode of the MTV Spider-Man series: 'The Party'.

The epsilon makes more sense to read it sex, but I think that was the "creme de la creme" club, so Alpha for that.

Well?

alpha: you are confident and your own man. you do your own thing and have complete confidence in everything you do. you have your self doubts, but you don't let it cloud your judgment and logic. you are well liked by almost everyone, and you just have an easy charm and swagger about your presence. women are drawn to your charisma and presence. you enjoy being social and having lots of people around. you are a natural leader

omega: you are the polar opposite of the alpha male, but in a good way. like the alpha male you are confident, intelligent and have a sense of charisma about you, but unlike the alpha male, you are completely your own person. you do not need anyone, and you can even be emotionally distant due to your complete self-possession. you trust few people and foster even fewer intimate relationships. omegas do not care for leadership by others as they are perfectly capable of leading themselves

What kind of guy am I? Well, right now I'm confused...

Alpha male is his own man, until he leads, then he belongs to the group.

Omega male is an independent agent, full stop.

That would be my guess.

That makes sense.

That being said, I'd really like to think I'm unique enough that I don't fit into one of a whopping five personality types. There are parts of all of them that apply to me and parts of all of them that haven nothing to do with me. I'll just go with "individual."

For all those overanalyzing this, it's pop psychology ******** and atrociously oversimplifies personality.

These categories seem very old fashioned.

Well they're intended for the assessment of animals in the wild. We humans have kind of re-purposed them to make sense of social interactions. I looked into these a while back and there are ~5 different definitions of gamma so that goes to show you how reliable it is. I think the Enneagram test to be far more accurate. It was eerie how well my results described me.

The Myers-Briggs personality test is really one of the few that means anything. This Alpha/Beta crap only works in generic interactions without any complexity or variance. Nobody is always a leader or always a follower. This nonsense is barely a step up from horoscopes.
