Who agrees that casting shouldn't affect someone's judgement on a manip?

Well I started posting like 2 weeks ago and the manip thread was pretty much the first thread I ever read entirely. Unless we're supposed to read all those casting threads before being allowed to post, I don't see how we're supposed to know. That being said, even if I had known, I don't think I would've changed my manip. I though Jolie's pose was very Psylocke-ish so I used her as a base for my manip and that's reason enough for me.

Oh no, you can post all your art(that's acceptable by board rules) that you like without reading any other threads.
I know not everyone reads every single thread in every single part of the forum, and no one is saying you have to make your art based on the suggestions on who people want for the role.

I figured but I just wanted to be clear for anyone who didn't understand what I meant.
And I really did your manip. The whole of it. I could really care less that you used Angelina. I believe it worked.
I have yet to not like a piece based on casting alone. The majority of the time, it's because of the quality of the manip.

Interesting. I see the point. I enjoy seeing all manips - some are better than others. But of course if someone's manip of a character seems odd partly because of the actor they chose, then that will be a reason for people not liking it.
