Energy beings in armour, born from dead galaxies, older than the universe and Eternity's creation is my guess. How do any of u, rate them in the cosmic hierarchy

I rate them at close to but not quite equal to full powered Galactus.
And I dont think they're older than the universe. I thought they were created after the big bang.

AFAIK they have deliberately never said anything about what the Celestials are or where they come from but they are in Galactus' class if not greater.

The Celestials are among the most powerful physical entities in the Marvel Universe. They have shown the ability to permanently seal off entire dimensions, create super-powered beings such as the Godstalkers, reduce the Asgardian construct known as the Destroyer to slag even while it was imbued with the life force of all the gods of Asgard (with the exception of Thor), and move multiple planets across galactic distances at will. The highly evolved cosmic cube beings Kosmos and Kubik — beings who wield nearly incalculable energy, matter and reality manipulation powers — stated that a single Celestial possesses "power many orders of magnitude beyond our own." [12]
The Celestial's armor can withstand planet-pulverizing forces and, in most instances, even when they have been injured they can repair the damage in seconds. The Celestial armor has been damaged with varying degrees of success by the Invisible Woman, [13] Thor, [14] and the Odinsword-wielding Destroyer construct. [15].
It has been suggested by Reed Richards that the Celestial's source of power is Hyperspace itself — the source of energy in the Marvel Universe — a suggestion confirmed by the Invisible Woman's ability to completely disrupt Exitar's physical form with her hyperspace-derived force fields. [16]

They are among the strongest in the galaxy, completely out of Galactus' league. Heck, they created most of the lifeforms on Earth.

having created the life forms on earth in no way implies that they're more powerful than Galactus.
He, without a doubt, could have done the same.

Will we ever see a FP Galactus? I think not. Do u think Galactus has a chance against all of the Celestials?

All of them no. One of them at a time I think he could take provided he wasnt starving.

It still pretty much states that Galactus would be milktoast to them. But who knows...have they ever showed Galactus go all out...I don't think so.

They said in Annihilation that we will get to see Galactus cut loose, so we shall see.

But they have stated in the comics that the Celestials are pretty much some of the most powerful beings in the universe. They can kill gods!:cmad:

Low end gods that by cosmic standards arent very impressive yes.

At one point the Elders were considered far above the Gods of Earth including Odin.

It's all too inconsistant.
First the Beyonder can beat all the Celestials at once with no difficulty at all.
Next the Beyonder is a little ****** b**** who's lower down the chain than Galactus.
Same sort of thing with the Elders.
Champion in his first appearance was stated to be significantly more powerful than Galactus himself. Later Galactus took on all the elders at once and ate half of them.
Later still She-hulk took down the champ in hand to hand combat (one of the stupidest things ever).

I long since decided to just come up with a best guess and stick with it no matter what.
Therefor 1 Celestial<Galactus.
All the Celestials>Galactus.
Thats enough for me.

I like the way you look at it.

Inconsistency plays a major part in knowing who is really more powerful than who...because at some point they all can beat all of each other. :ninja:

Not to mention that in the first Secret Wars the Beyonder smacked down Galactus with little effort. This was a Galactus that was definately not taking a dive. The only answer is that the Beyonder that was shown to be a cosmic cube was a fake. The retcon just doesn't make any sense.

I'm not sure how this translates into 616 continuity but in Earth X Galactus/Franklin more than held his own against the Celestials

I guess she could crack it but that would be a hell of a feat. In any case if she did that is further proof that a single Celestial < Galactus

In SWII Galactus were at full power when confronting the Beyonder ...
But back then Beyonder was the most powerful being:

To answer your question:
Celestial's are manifastations of Eternity's meditation:

Agreed.
The pre and post-recton Beyonder. Such a controversial character. All his feats were illusions.

I think only LT and Eternity could defeat all of the Celestials

Not continuity
Didn't Reed become Eternity in Earth X/Universe X/Paradise X

so sue broke one of the celesties armor?

In one of the dumbest stories ever, FF #400
Celestials are said to channel the power from hyperspace, surely they would have been able to counter Sue and destroy her

Thor did also, they respect his hammer.
But the Skyfathers and Asgardians no match for Celestials
