Heh, I figured out wayyyy in the beginning that Peter absorbed powers due to various reasons such as only flying with his brother, the time stoppage with Hiro, etc... Then I predicted that with the invisible man teaching him he may learn to use his powers without having to be near the others he got them from. Furthermore I predicted there was a connection with the cheerleader. I told my wife Nathan could be her father and she laughed. Then, look what happens :)

I'm enjoying it but for some reason I'm finding it super easy to figure out pretty big plot elements. Just wondering if that's a common thing for this show or not.

I bet that if you hadn't read the spoilers, you'd think otherwise.

The revelations have been quite predictable but the show still draws me in and leaving me wanting more by the episodes end even if I knew what was coming.

The addicting part of the show isn't where it goes, but how it gets there. It's the interaction between the characters, the (at least for me) surprising revelations, and the cool use of powers as the icing on the cake.

At least they're not taking the show in wild & crazy directions that make it impossible to follow if you miss an episode. What are you expecting, the Shi'ar?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the show a lot. I'm just finding it odd that all my assumptions have been right so far. In LOST for example my accuracy is not as spot on in where the show is heading.

I'm with you JC.

I'm loving the show, and don't read any of the spoilers for it, but much of the plot I have predicted...and what I miss, my wife usually predicts. It doesn't bother me though...it's entertaining.:yay:

We have yet to see Peter manipulate any powers from Future Hiro interaction though. Hell hes interacted with both Hiro's to say the least. Maybe like others are saying in the other threads, he is a little to uber to say the least.

Yet, what you speak of is what alot of people experience, they are not true mysteries in there nature. True mysteries in the show are is it truly Peter that is going to destroy New York, how will the heroes powers grow even more, what does Nikki power truly branch from, what is Lindermans motive and true connections.

These are just some of the things that keep us coming back for more, I think.

The fact that Peter was able to move around and talk normally with future Hiro indicates that his power absorbed Hiros.

Or it could simply mean that future Hiro is so in control of his powers that he can choose who freezes and who does not. It may not have anything to do with Peter absorbing the power. After all, Hiro did go back in time to warn Peter, he had to have him unfrozen.

greetings. long time lurker...first time poster. just registered today =^)

I agree...somethings have been rather predictatble. But it's the way it gets there is what's exciting.

Yeah at times the show is slow which is ok with me. It's nice to see the side stories of the lesser characters (for lack of better term). Although Nikki/Jessica DL and the brat are kinda blah and wish their story would either go somewhere more interesting or just go away...

Eric Roberts slated to be on the show? My bet is he will be Linderman (am I the first to call it?).

Simone gets a little annoying. All into Peter yet still loves/loyal to Issac. Maybe she is being play too dramatic? ...just a tought.

Hiro...love him. Can't wait to watch him grow and become future Hiro. Personaly I feel his powers have weakened becuase of his distraction of love. You got a mission...stay on it! What can I say...I'm kinda bitter irl so...um...

I'm glad the pointy face chick is gone...man I can't stand her. I don't like Matt's wife. He needs to be more in the story I feel.

...very interesting show. I like all the twists and turns and I'm enjoying the ride.

Peace

Or he knew that Peter's power would kick in when around Hiro...thus keeping him unfrozen.

If he could have gone and kept anyone unfrozen, why didn't he go to any of the other characters that are a part of his group in the future?

Welcome to the Hype Damien....I don't come in here often...mostly in the Smallville forums...but wanted to welcome you either way. :D

me and my girlfriend both predicted that Nathan was going to be Claire's father, among other things, but like people have said, it's not where it's going it's how they're taking us there

and that is much more exciting

I don't know if predicting Nathan as Claire's father was the hardest leap of all, I didn't think of it cuz I figured they'd come up with something cooler. But political candidates have their out-of-wedlock kids outed just before election time is pretty standard. Same with characters being connected.

I can see how this show isn't extremely deep in it's emotional twists, nor is it unclear, even initially, on what people's powers are... but the major plot elements? I mean, did you really know ahead of time that Ted, Hana and Matt were going to team up against Primatech? Perhaps when Matt threatened HRG, but not before...

and even that "team up" might not come out the way we expect it, they have been careful to handle things in unexpected ways, even the things we expect

for example, yeah, yeah, we figgered Nate was the flyin mac daddy, but something nobody is even mentioning is: how is he going to react to that? what is he going to do? it's not like he can just make her dissapear, can he?

I am, but I like when my predictions are right, it makes me feel like...I'm winning.:cwink:

I like to feel empty eggshells crackling in my fingers, the sound just makes me feel, powerful

I wish that the nikki Jessica story was interesting, and that the guy who plays DL was a good actor or at least had better direction. His character seems to soft for someone who's been through what he's been through.

You're on the list.

Anybody who's into comics or SCI-FI could predict what's going to happen. They're not reinventing the wheel here. Stop patting yourselves on the back over nothing. :)

I never read spoilers for the shows....so i'm almost always surprised. Spoilers RUIN shows.

There were a few things I predicted...but Peter's brother being the father I didn't predict...had no idea Peter was going to meet an invisible guy either. Among other things.

shows, movies, chicks, everything!!!
the plt, as cool as it is, doesn't compare with the characters, like BSG :)

I didn't pat myself on the back. Just wondering if others are experiencing the same situation in viewing Heroes. It's not like it's a power to predict plot elements or something.
