Have you heard that XM Management has suspended and possibly fired Opie and Anthony.

This occured in the aftermath of a certain radio bit that was done on xm radio. But alas XM Radio is supposed to be uncensored!!!!!

Things you can do to help protect free speech and take charge of your xm subscription.

1. CANCEL YOUR XM SUBSCRIPTION!!!! IF YOU CANCEL, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU NOT TAKE THE 30 FREE DAYS OR THE 3 FREE MONTHS. YOU ARE NOT MAKING ANY STATEMENT AT ALL IF TAKE THE 30 DAYS.
   Do not smash your radios yet. Wait. We'll come up with a plan to make a statement.
2. CONSTANTLY CALL XM. THEY HAVE RECEIVED A RECORD AMOUNT OF CALLS ALREADY, AND TONIGHT AND TOMORROW ITS IMPORTANT THAT WE REGISTER AS MANY CALLS WITH THEM AS WE CAN. KEEP CALLING EVEN IF YOU'VE ALREADY CANCELLED OR YOU'RE NOT CANCELLING. ALSO CONSTANTLY EMAIL XM.
3. CALL CBS AND THE CBS SPONSORS AND THANK THEM FOR SPONSORING O&A AND ASK THEM TO CONTINUE SPONSORING O&A.
4. CONTACT ANY PRESS WHO WILL LISTEN TO YOU
5. JOIN PAC AND GET ANYONE YOU CAN TO JOIN AS WELL
6. CONTACT ANY COMICS/MUSICIANS/PEOPLE WHO HAVE APPEARED ON O&A. WRITE THEIR EMAILS AND MYSPACES AND ASK THEM TO STAND UP FOR O&A IN THE MEDIA. TELL THEM O&A PROMOTED YOU--- PLEASE HELP THEM NOW.

I have two XM radios, and umm no plans for cancelling my accounts, and obviously no plans for destroying $400 in equipment, tyvm.

I thought I'd offer up some proof, however the main Opie and Anthony message board is closed to guests at the moment.

At any given time in the past few days there have been thousands of dedicated users monitoring this situation and trying to organize.

The fans of Opie and Anthony feel indebted to them because they are so good to their fans. I've met them and they are just the nicest guys.
As a result an organization was formed a few days ago spearheaded by fans called. "People Against Censorship"

This organization has already been featured on CNN and other national news networks.

Many Opie and Anthony fans are idiots, yes.
But many of them are extremely bright and motivated.

Don't dismiss them.

I have XM but never listen to Opie and Anthony. so cancelling my subscription for this one radio show would be pointless.


But....

Opie and Anthony also host a syndicated, tamer terrestrial radio program for CBS. Opie and Anthony will be on the air for that program as scheduled Wednesday morning, CBS Radio said Tuesday.
