I was just wondering if anybody here watches seinfeld, I think it is funny. I like all the characters. Jerry really likes Superman. I like the Pez Episode.:) :supes:

Better question: Who here doesn't like Seinfeld?

Seinfeld is the best. CYE really great too, best show on tv right IMO.. (although I cant watch it til the dvds come out  )

The second time I saw Superman Returns I kept the whole time what Seinfeld thought of the movie.. I assume he loved it.

Exactly. Seinfeld owns. It always will.

I've never liked it. I don't really find it funny.

i am with this guy.. i watched a bounch of peisodes and i was like "WTF" that sucked

You need to watch more than few episodes, dude. It took me at least 30 episodes to get into it. It was one of those things that doesn't click at first....

The good thing about Seinfeld is I can just watch 1 or 2 whenever I want. I don't watch it regularly right now. But it's not like I couldn't pick back up at any time. It's classic!

I love George the most, but I think one of my favorite episodes is when everyone won't shut up about "The English Patient" and it drives Elaine crazy, b/c who hasn't been annoyed when everybody overhypes a movie that isn't that good!

i watched about 2 weeks worth.. so about 14 epsidoes cuz my friend had a bunch of tapes.. and we watched a episode a day..

Seinfeld is the best sitcom.

It's the most realistic, yet it's also one of the craziest. Seriously, the situations and stereotypes they run into are ones seen everyday, except they are just over-exagerated on Seinfeld.

The great thing about it is that each episode has all kinds of crazing things going on, and in the end, they all come together. It's so great and hilarious.

Also, there are never an arcs. Each episode can really stand on it's, although they do have a full roster of returning characters that come back every so often.

I think everyone (well, every fan) can identify with one character as themselves or a friend. I've never known a Kramer. But I sometimes am George. I worry about the little things, I can be damn cheap and am sometimes unable to let go of something that bothers me.

People who like slapstick, "easy" comedy don't typically like Seinfeld. It's more dry humor, generally.

My favorite example:
The group is trying to find the Chinese restuarant. Jerry sees a mailman in uniform, and says, "I'll ask this guy where it is."
Jerry: "Excuse me, you must know where the Chinese restaurant is."
Mailman: (Turns around. Is Asian American): "Why must I know? Because I'm Chinese? (sarcastically) Oh, yes, I know where all the Chinese restaurants are because I'm Chinese!"
Jerry: "No, no! I just meant because you're a mailman..."

There are people who don't find the idea that things like that happen funny. Or that we worry about offending people. It's good humor, and plenty of people don't laugh. I found that scene HILARIOUS!

So you're saying I need to spend 11 hours watching something I don't like so that I can get into it?

Doubt I'll be doing that anytime soon. I think I'd rather spend that time watching something I already enjoy.

I love Seinfeld....Not that there's anything wrong with that!:D

You gotta spend some time with it, yeh. I think it was almost cancelled a few times b/c people had to get into it. Good thing NBC held on..

I really love the episode with the library book and detective Bookman, with the flashbacks to George and Jerry in gym class. "Cant stand ya!"
