I think he means moria at the end of the credits. If thats the case I'm not really sure i think she was Xaviers ex-fiance (spelling is prob wrong) or something like that.

Yeah, its Moira not Maria. Moira McTaggert. In the comics shes an old friend of Xavier's who is a leading researcher on mutants, and they had a relationship back in the day.

They didn't really say much about her in the movie, at least not that I caught. I think Xavier just said she was an old friend.
