So Spidey's definately gone thru a lot of animated series. Who you guys think has pulled off the quippy web-slinger voice and bringing alive the character?

Have a listen to these audio clips and judge for yourself.

It only has the Spideys from the 90s onwards, but we'll add the old skool ones too. My fave is Christopher Daniel Barnes.

I voted for Christopher Daniel Barnes because he has such an original voice for the character.

Rino Romano would be close if he wasn't in so many different roles. He's lost his edge.

:spidey:

have to go with Barnes. I watched the aimated seroies for so long that when ever I read Spider-Man it is his voice I hear

....And by the way...his name is Paul Soles. He was also the voice of Bruce Banner in the old 60's cartoon and incidentally they gave him the part of the pizza parlor owner in the latest movie. Little touches like that; one of the reasons I really admire Ed Norton.

Christopher Daniel Barnes, albeit SSM is a better show.

Well,...matter of opinion. Although I didn't really love the original cartoon. Just addressing the subject of the thread.

Voice compares have been added for GREEN GOBLIN and MARY JANE WATSON

for green goblin, its a tie between Neil Ross and Steve Blum. The Rino one with the accent was super lame.

For Mary Jane, the Fox Kids Sara Ballantine wins by far. The others are just so monotone

For MJ, I'd say Vanessa Marshal easily. She really brings out MJ perfectly for me not to mention VM is a talented VO in her own right. Her Russian accent for the character of Olga in MGS2 was superb.

As for spidey, hmm, I think they're all pretty amazing post and including Barnes. I suppose Barnes really set the standard and captured the sardonic wit perfectly, plus in retrospect, he sounded the most genuine, so yeah, Barnes gets my vote.

More than anything, I hate Rino Romano's spider-man. No Rino Romano, just his Spider-man AND Green Goblin.
