Who wants to Battle?

Okay let's get this shindig started.

Now since we have an uneven number of people one of the battles will be a 3 person Jam. Hope that's alright with everyone. Also since it will lead us to a second 3 person battle I am installing a wild card spot.

The Wild Card:
The wild card spot will likely go with the person who has been beaten with the highest amount of votes.

Duration:
Now each round will run for 14 days.

If an entry hasn't been made by that time then that person will be disqualified and their opponent will move on. Part of the challenge for this competition is to do things quickly and keep it moving.

I'm guessing 2 weeks should be sufficient time to finish a single piece. Ultimately it's better to put up a quick something than nothing at all.

Photo Manips
Manips will be allowed, however, like the monthly competitions they need to be original so no just recolouring GI Joe to look like Captain America etc.

Topics:
Topics for each round will be very open ended to try and keep the creative juices flowing.

Round 1: Marvel Universe Done
Round 2: DC Universe - Done
Round 3: Independent (Includes Dark Horse, Image, anything not associated with the big twoFinished
Round 4: Free for All (Anything goes) Open till 30th ( Giving a couple extra days for the finals.)

Voting: will take place, and participants cannot participate in their own competition (presuming each would vote for themselves) I think voting should be open to all members of the Hype.

Here I am bored at work wondering who would want to do a sketch/art battle.

There was another thread started like this but it just kind of petered out as too much time past.

So I started a new one.

We'd start with (preferable 16 people, or some other multiple of 4) if there's enough interest.

Artist will be paired up for head to head competition. The winner goes on to the next round. Until only 1 remains.

I was thinking 10- 14 days to finish a piece. One Day of Voting. Artists are exempt from voting in their own battle. If an artist doesn't complete their piece by the deadline they are disqualified and are out of the competition, so better to finish something, anything than nothing at all.

PHOTO MANIPS ARE ALLOWED, BUT SAME STIPULATIONS APPLY AS THE MONTHLY CONTESTS

That's about it for rules. Each round will have a single topic for all artists, could be a character, a universe, movie etc.

(Artists will be randomly placed)

Sorry I was away over the weekend and been a little sick the last couple days.

I've made changes and posted the topics so let's get to it.

I will be checking here frequently so Things should keep rolling smoothly.

Only question how long do you think voting should be open? Was thinking a day or two I don't want it too long since the idea is to just keep rolling along.
