Who's you're favorire Character in the Superman Comics?

Lois...that woman will always be a mystery to me.

Lex Luthor.

Bizzaro's usually pretty awesome too.

Damn you Johns/Donner.:csad:
The best interpretation of Bizzaro I've ever seen was in one of Mark Verheiden's Superman issues. #22...something. Utterly fantastic.

not familiar with those issues, but he definitely works better as a psychotic villian as opposed to a goofy one.

besides superman and Lex, i would say not many others do i like. Supermans supporting cast are all written so differently at times it is confuseing. One issue Jimmy is a top reporter, the next issue hes getting Perry's morning coffee. One issue Clarks a respected reporter, the next issue Perry is questioning his skills, and wondering why Lois even married him. Lana Lang is stalking superman one year, and running Lex corp the next. Lex is a serous minded genuis villian one year, and a goofy gene hackmen rip off the next.

Jimmy Olsen. I just love his dogged ignorance and naivete; after everything he's seen and been through, he never seems to get more mature or smarter. That's what I love about supporting foils in the comics.

At their best, Superman has got one of the best (perhaps even THE best) cast of characters in comic books period, so it's hard for me to choose. Clark/Superman, Lois, Jimmy, Perry, The Kents, Lex, Parasite, Braniac, Metallo, Bizarro, Jor-El and Lara, Supergirl (Pre-Crisis more than post :o), Superboy, Steel... They all bring great and different elements to the mythology.

Without Clark, none of them would really be complete or at the top of their game, since he's obviously the most integral. So I'd have to chose Superman.

But if he were to be excluded, in order to be fair, Lois would be my top pick. She's fearless, fiesty, while at the same time, she's got a great sense of compassion that could rival her husband's, who's basically the ultimate do-gooder. Lois really is perfect for Clark.

Aside from Superman himself, Pre-Birthright Lex Luthor. :o

I just love the whole history of his life that was developed over the years and how he crawled out from Suicide Slum and practically remade Metropolis in his image.

A couple favorite key issues of mine that showcase his real character are when his daughter is born while he's simultaneously arranging the murder of the mayor and killing his abusive stepfather at the same time. Another issue being the conclusion of Y2K, when he trades his daughter for the ability to maintain the B13-technology in Metropolis.

Another couple favorite characters of mine are The Parasite, Metallo, and Neutron. Those rough-and-tumble villains always make for great action in whatever issue they're in.

1. LOIS LANE & SUPERMAN

2. Lex Luthor

3. Jonathan & Martha Kent

4. Krypto

5. Conner Kent/ Superboy / Kon-EL

6. Jimmy Olsen

7. Perry White

8. Jor-EL & Lara

Lex Luthor is my favorite DC villain, so I'd have to go with him, then of course, Supes.

I like Superman, he is hard to write because he is so unstoppable. But I like his character. He is a true hero, with or without powers. He believes in the good in people.
I also like when he is struggling with not being like everyone else.

I also like when he teams up or has sence with Batman. While they are both so different at their cores they both don't want people to get hurt.

Superman....

But after him, I kinda dug Jose Delgado's version of Gangbuster.

As for the Bizarro argument I like scary much more than goofy & stupid.

Anyone who didn't say Mxyzptlk is a goddamned liar.
