Whose alter egos would you see through in real life?

In the comics ordinary people are a bit stupid and unobservant. They can't see through what is sometimes a simple disguise. Even when you go to costume parties fully dressed up, people can often still tell who you are, especially if it isn't a full mask. Even with a mask, people can tell by your eyes or your body shape.

Whose disguise in the comics do you think would be easily seen through in real life?

Spider-man probably. He keeps swinging thru the same window and there's the most web around his house

Obviously all the mask-less heroes who think just by going by a different name out of costume is enough of a secret identity.

I'm sure I'd fall for all of them unless I knew the person really well. Remember, there are millions of people in New York and most other major cities. I'm sure Clark Kent isn't the only tall, black-haired, well built man in Metropolis, for example, so the idea that someone would look at Superman and then notice he looks exactly like Clark--if by some miracle they ever even see or meet Clark--is a bit ludicrous. There are a whole lot of other people who'd look similar and, frankly, 99% of normal people just aren't that observant.

Yeah, but Clark messes up his hair and wears glasses that tone down the other worldly blue of his eyes.

I'm talking more about someone like Storm, Rogue, and Gambit; keep in mind this was before the X-Men came out to the public.

I have seen people that look like celebrities on the street and was thinking to myself "did I really walk past [whoever]??? Naaah... "

But as I look back, I should have asked for an autograph or something.

True, Rogue and probably Storm, at least, would have trouble blending in. Not a lot of young women with white hair about. But Gambit? Take him out of his costume and he's a white guy with brown hair. Besides, the X-Men have never really seemed all that concerned about their secret identities, so I just never thought it was a big deal.

Well I'm thinking of the masked superheroes (or villains) since no mask is no disguise.

Certainly the likes or Robin would be easily recognized. I think even Batman would be.

Robin, more so.

Batman has his whole head covered, well except for the mouth, but normal people wont get a good look of Batman's mouth anyway... the best is probably some blurred photo in the newspaper

Again, just a black-haired teenager with a decent build. You can find a hundred of 'em at any school in Gotham. The only way Tim himself figured out Batman and Nightwing's (then Robin's) identities was because 1) he's a particularly observant person, and 2) he recognized Robin doing one of Dick Grayson's signature acrobatic moves and pieced together the rest. Without that initial lead, there's no reason to connect Batman and Robin to Bruce and his revolving door of adopted boys...
