Hi, i'm starting this new thread for the people like me that think they can be the real-life spidey.
If you have any tips of being like spiderman for example like sharpening your speed, strength or spider sense. Or if you had any event in your life that you had a spider sense or reflex. please post it.
Because I believe there are kids, some where out that have a spider sense or spiderman like abilities. And if I can find at least find one person, then we can learn from them.

So personally, I don't believe in super powers. If a person got bitten by a radioactive spider, I think that they would either feel nothing, or be sickened by radiation poisoning. If one was genetically modified by a supervirus, it would take forever, and has a greater chance of killing you. However, all that being said, it is possible to become an athlete, even if you are just a nerd with aspirations. Nerd by the way is not an insult.

Proof: http://nerdfitness.com/blog/2012/04/02/why-yoga/

So I'm going to break down each, "realistic power" as I see it.

gymnastic ability: Spidey has the amazing ability to keep balance. Though I don't understand what that has to do with a spider, humans are capable of doing this by practicing parkour, tumbling, and capoeria.

Spidersense: Watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CO1v7NmhN4

Now notice that the only thing that happens is that time slows down. That is a standard power associated with adrenaline. Again, no spider has this power. They feel vibrations in the air due to small hairs on the body. So I believe that this is an ability that peter picked up as the victim of bullying. he hears a door slam, time slows down, an adrenaline rush activates, and his senses are heightened. He dodges a punch when he hears flash grunt. This is not unusual. People with martial arts experience or heavy situational awareness abilities can pick up clues to know when someone is going to attack. Add adrenaline to peter's knowledge of how Flash bullies people, he's trained himself spider sense.

Climbing: can be learned by practice. Look up buildering, urban climbing, robert Alain, and assassin's creed. There are vacuum devices that allow people to climb, but it was said to be too loud, too slow, and without straps, it becomes too taxing to keep up.

Webbing: No swinging. But a sticky substance that wraps people up: http://www.cabinetmagazine.org/issues/22/STICKY-FOAM-1_v2.jpg The military made a "less than lethal" device that fires an adhesive sticky foam.

Fighting: there are several fighting styles that are acrobatic in nature.

Capoeria: dance fighting.
Judo: Form of wrestling martial art that relies on joint locks.
Juijitsu: similar to judo, but more sportlike.
Aikido: A martial art who's sole purpose was to ground your opponent without hurting them.

I think that with webbing, Aikido is the best spidey martial art, because he could ground someone like rhino and web him down. Spiderman doesn't know any martial arts, he just uses instincts, but if one wanted to become a spidey wannabe then they would study one of these.

Spidey weapons: Spidey uses devices that bind people so that the police can get them. while no web shooter that is safe to humans exists, there are devices that stop movement.

the bola- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolas
zipties: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlastiCuffs
duct-tape.

So, while there is no spidey, nor will there be one like this:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/52/Spider-Man.jpg

I could see a Spiderman like this:http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs8/i/2005/315/0/2/__Spiderman___Mangaverse_by_el_kenshin.jpg

I'm going to go deeper into spider sense because it needs explaining. Spiders have no spider sense. They have cilia in there skin that allow them to feel subtle vibrations on webbing. If there is any animal that has a 360 degree view, it is a fly because of their eye's structure. Being that spiders can only feel vibrations like these through the air, their web, and by actual touching, and due that peter wears clothes that would suppress the cilia from feeling anything, I doubt entirely that it is a "spider sense" at all.

Introduce peter the nerd. This kid has been picked on since birth. Bullies punch him, he is a smart mouth as a nervous twitch, and he has been given reflexes from the spider. If he had been infected by a virus that increased his reflexes and gave him a spider's predatory instincts, I could see a hyperactive adrenal system activating whenever he hears something that would indicate that he is going to be beat up.

Now if anyone here has heard of Pavlov, you know what I'm talking about. Pavlov was a scientist that played a bell, every time he fed a dog. One time, he played the bell, and the dog salivated like he was eating.

Another scientist shocked rats every time he played a tone. The scientist played the tone, and the rat freaked out like he was being shocked.

Now peter has been beat up since he was a kid. Everyone "telegraphs" their fights long before they fight. It's basic physiology. In every martial art, people have to breathe while they punch, they step into the ground when the prepare a punch. Peter knows these telegraphs. He's been exposed to them since he was little.

Now let's pretend that peter was like that rat. He hears the grunt, the slamming of the doors, and the thumping on the shoes. This becomes the tone that shocks his immune system. Like usual, his body pumps him with adrenaline that says you're about to be punched. Now the difference now is that he has stronger nerves due to the spider's virus.

In the comics, flash is the one that hurts him the most. By his stance, we can judge him as a boxer. Peter's knowledge of flash allows him to know he will be punched. His subconscious tells him to dodge.

Adrenaline is how he does these things. Symptoms include slowed time, increased strength, pain resistance, faster muscles, and the ability to hear and hyper focus on everything around him.

My final piece of evidence that supports (though not proves) my theory is the symbiote.

In all media outlets where peter is infected with the symbiote, he goes to sleep, he is suffocated, and he wakes upside down looking at glass. Wait, how is that possible? If the spider sense is a psychic power, or due to vibrations, how come peter didn't wake up? He will wake up when he hears the green goblin's glider, but not when the symbiote is crawling on him? We can't use that excuse that when the symbiote bonds to peter, he can't sense it. That would only occur after the symbiote bonded to him.

The reason he didn't wake up is because he's not gifted with a super sense, it is because he was conditioned to get an adrenal response when he hears a tone that tells him that he's about to get hurt. That's why he didn't wake up when he was about to be choked to death in his sleep. It's because the symbiote was silent. Peter's mind and body hadn't deemed it a threat.

Finally, there is a manual that explains all of spiderman's powers: It's a work of fiction, but it will serve your purpose fine. It suggests that spidersense is a form of meditation that you can train. It also goes into climbing, and, well, just check it out.

I thought the reason peter's "spider-sense" didn't alert him of the symbiote goo, was because his spider-sense didn't work against symbiotes.

well, the problem with that is that there is no explanation as to why that is until after it bonds with peter. After he loses the black suit, he still has some symbiotic DNA left in him. That explains why his spider sense is put offline. The symbiote is still technically a part of his body, so he wouldn't be alerted to it. Until that point, there is no excuse, because his sense alerts him to even the most remedial dangers. A toxic, viral parasite is sure to send him off the same way that Scorpion's venom will.

Besides that though, this explanation at least offers some help to this Amazinspiderboy.

This is assuming all of course that spidey was created as a viral transfusion accident. That way, there is a little bit of possible realism, no matter how small.

If you think about it from a somewhat more acceptable stand point, spiderman could be batman on a budget. A nerd into gymnastics/ martial arts loses his parent(s) to a mugger. He dedicates his life to fighting crime. They both have high IQ's, and take fear inducing animals as their mantle. Heck even some of his villains are similar.

Green goblin- psychopath with a pension for explosives.
joker- psychopath with a pension for explosives.

Bane- batman's equal in intellect, but stronger due to a toxic drug.
Venom- Knows spiderman inside and out. Stronger due to a toxic parasite.

I see what you mean. For spider-sense I was thinking of something technological like a sensor in your shoe or something, for example if you weren't paying attention crossing the street and a car was coming, once the vibration got to a certain level a high pitched noised could play through in ear phone.

I heard about those awhile ago and forgot to look them up, thanks. This is even better than what I was talking about.

Thanks you white widow ,for the indeep of the spidey sense but as far as fighting goes I think spidey doesn't really have a spidey fighting style because i have read in a article that spidey uses his surroundings as a weapon and guard

Thanks! The thing about a fighting style is that spidey is self taught. He just punched, kicked, and used his balance. The reason I included a style is because, if a person was to be a real life spidey, one would need a martial art that allowed them to overcome an enemies' size. After the events in spider island, he learned kung fu. His original fighting style was based on his spider sense. When he loses his spider sense due to chemical fumes, he can't win a fight. This happened with him and the goblin a few times.
