Why aren't there any Mavel or DC collectible trading cards anymore? There used to be...I have a lot of comlplete sets......I remember the last set they did was the Marvel Legends cards.....I liked them..

they still do Hockey cards and other sports cards....Why dn't they do comic ones anymore?

I collected the Marvel Legends cards. Only cards I really collected. Was sad to see no more of them coming out.:(

I wasn't overly pleased with the ML Cards....they didn't go into many obscure characters, they just did all the main ones at the time...Loved the ar they used on a lot of them though

Best spider-man card sets...

Fleer ultra 94 set... loved it.. iconic art imo that drew evey character perfectly... there were "cell" cards that made half the card clear, and hologram cards.. in which connected to eachother.. infact.. the cards formed several mini posters, such as this

i think bagley drew all these cards

then there was another set, that i can't find anywhere on ebay... the cards themselves kinda sucked.. but the backs all formed a HUGE spidey poster... there were 2 posters in all.. due to each card having a variant (one blue one red) the blue cards formed one poster, while the blue formed another.. each dipecting pretty much all the characters in the spidey universe... one had a darker tone then the other... i remember that.. but damn i so wanted to finish those posters.. and never was able to :(

the first set i posted i pretty much have completed besides the rare ones.. but the 2nd set... i want bad.. because they were freakin huge movie size posters i believe... that they made... very beautiful collage of spideys triumphs and tragedies

infact the original set i collected of the first pics i'm showing ya.. i made them a border around me room in ohio... you can see them in some of the pics (the pics that were taken in a blue room)

Cards are so nineties. I used to back in the day. But that was DB and Pokemon.

.... is it just me or are you bumping up threads for no reason? .... like the the pattern one.. that shoulda just stayed dead... there all still on the front page, no reason to bump them

Its a shame,i think the cards were great.I wonder if any of those cards are valueable today...

go on ebay... cards are only worth, like action figures, what someone will pay for them

I know that, but I do whatever the hell I want! :woot:

Wow, I swear I came here and was about to post a thread about this topic and all of a sudden its the first damn thread I see!

Anyways, I collected 1994 Marvel Masterpeices back when I was in elementary when I could just walk into the dollar store and pick up a few packs. A couple of years ago, I started asking all these comic/hobby shops if they had any Marvel trading cards for sale and they all said "no". Eventually, I gave up until January when I finally set up an eBay account. Since then I've purchased some Marvel Universe sets, Marvel Masterpeices sets and X-men sets and still wanting more including the 1994 Spider-man set mentioned earlier in this thread.

My question is: to those who still collect marvel cards, where do you get them? Is it all eBay or do you guys have any comic shops or online stores that you can acquire them from?

I find mine at Flea Markets...Whole sets...I have a bunch of the early 90s ones.

But they make damn trading cards for everything, there are still Star Trek Trading Cards....there are Veronica Mars Trading Cards....why no DC or Marvel?

^they still make them for the movies.... X3 had trading cards

Well....In a few years when there have been many more Marvel Movies and they make a Marvel movies card line then I will get them.....Hmmm....Actually X3......If they are done right....hmmmm

movie cards always ALWAYS suck anyway... why buy something when you can simply "click and save" with screen caps. comic cards usually had original art

I want an utterly complete set of Marvel comics cards with all new art....I want it to be over 1000 cards and characters only, no great battles and classic teams and stuff like that.

I understand that would be a little big, so do it in five or six different lines.

X-men
Spider-man
Avengers
Fantastic Four
Marvel Knights
Golden Age

Ad Maybe an Alternate Universe line for the Exiles and stuff....Come to think of it I also want a complete AoA set of cards.

But for the initial line I want it to be utterly complete...Like the hardcover Marvel Encyclopedias were.....I want every Spider-man costume to get a card every character that is from Spider-man....

I want an awesome Awesome complete set of Marvel trading cards.

they still need to make more fo those Marvel encyclopedia's.... they never made a friggin avengers one... :(

I know...I was chocked when hey stopped with those.....were they not selling enough? They sold enough to make six but not seven? They should have passed on the Hulk one and made Avengers.

We still need

Avengers
Cosmic

I guess that's it really.....two more and I'll be fine.

agreed... and the hulk one was horrible... it was hardly anything... and all this pop culture and memorabilia and movie stuff... hardly any comic i was like.. why?

The only comics they did mention were the current one...it was a thrity some dollar ad for the current run, which has since been reased from Continuity....it was all a dream.
