Not with the resources we have over here he wouldn't. No dedicated teams, undermanned police forces and so few specialists we have to ship them in from abroad. This sinking little island is lucky to have no had a few thousand more of these guys considering how easy it is to duck the authorities.

When I was a really little kid, like 2nd grade, the Hillside Strangler (who should have been the Hillside Stranglers because it was two cousins, Kenneth Bianchi and Angelo Buono) was all in the news, but I was 7 so I didn't know about it. But my sister (who was 6) and I were at the bus stop down the street from the high school and this big kid came by and said, "I'm the Hillside Strangler!" to us to scare us. Well, Em and I were like "Huh? Who's that?" So his 'funny joke' was wasted.
