Why does Marvel have better games than DC?

Because Marvel has better characters :D

bahahaha Marvel may have more characters, but by no means whatsoever do they have 'better characters' then DC

I think Marvel has more games simply because they have more characters that people know about.

Marvel makes better games because they actually make games. DC just seems to be lagging in development, although I think they're on the right track. I really enjoyed Justice League Heroes. If they can improve on that format and add more characters, I think it'd be really great.

marvel just make more games so it seems there are more better games

but pound for pound, there probably isn't that much of a difference...

don't forget marvel has made a crap load of rubbish games as well.,..

Marvel's characters are better. Marvels continuity is more compact and easier to fllow. DC has multiverses and confusion all around.

Most people only know at most 5 DC heroes (Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Flash) Where as thanks to movies Marvel has more known characters. (Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, etc, etc.)

Marvel is also more appealing. Their characters are easier to identify with, because they aren't superpowered aliens or superpowered princess of other fantastical nations. They are rather human characters. Batman is the only easily identifiable DC hero. (Though I myself do love me some Wonder Woman and Supergirl.)

ultimately what factor do those points have on making a good game?

Maybe that's why DC has such a hard time getting good developers? The closest they came to a good game was Justice League Heroes and that was a lame watered down version of the X-Men Legends/Marvel: Ultimate Alliance game.

they could easily make a smallvill esque game along the lines of hulk ultimate destruction...

have clark based in free reign Kansas, smallville and metropolis, as well as the school campus.

there are plenty of freak of the week character to include, have cameo and playable JUSTICE characters and plots...

it's that easy for dc to cash in on a popular product of the mo and make it work. Having a more grounded superman without the flying as well as a younger one growing up and making mistakes i believe would make quite a good game.

My thoughts exactly. Marvels fav character: Spidey. DC's fav character: Superman. Who has had better games? The wallcrawler. Who has had better movies? This could be contested, but averaging the movies, I think Parker is two for two. Who is easier to relate to, someone with money problems, used to be a nerd, isn't well-liked, a normal guy, or an alien(last of his kind), almost unbeatable, EVERYONE loves him, and has like ten super powers? I rest my case.

Marvel does not have good games, its just been in the field longer..or does it better. When people say Marvel has good games,i can imagine they have the VS series in mind.

I hear what your saying about the CHARACTER,but what do these attributes have to do with making a good game?
Peter Parker the Spectacular Spider-Man,..Level 3:Pay the rent

I guess better characters makes game developers want to make more games featuring Marvel characters which in turn means theres a bigger chance that they will have a larger collection of better games. In the past year, Marvel has had Spiderman 3, MUA, Fantastic Four, and soon Spiderman Friend or Foe and DC has only had JLH and Superman Returns. Right there Marvel has had more better games by default of having more games released within a years span

They have way too many nigh unbeatable characters. MM, Supes, WW, and there are only like five more well known DC characters. Game developers just don't have any variety to work with. Everyone knows, a bunch of the X-men, the FF, Hulk, DD, Punisher, the Silver Surfer, CA, there's no real comparision.
