Why is Hiro running the family company?

Whatever happened to his sister? Didnt his father set her up to succeed him back in season 1, after Hiro declined that offer?

Chances are, she's just as lost as Caitlin is.

Seriously though, it wouldn't serve the plot for Hiro's sister to open the safe to the formula.

Okay really, it's more than likely just that they didn't want to get the same actress back to play his sister, when it was just as easy to place Hiro in the role.

Maybe Hiro's running it publically, while she's running it privately. They made it kinda seem that it would be unheard of for her to actually run it, so Hiro's just playing the part. Obviously someone else must be if Hiro is going to be running around and not doing anything company-wise.

Yea, the writers answered this a couple weeks back in the Behind the Eclipse.

Kaito put Hiro in charge of Yamagato Industries because things are still very sexist in Japan and the men dominate, but Kimiko is the one that's actually running it.
