That was definitely a shocker considering that it was more or less going to get cancelled.Bayonetta 2 just secured a bunch of people's money for this system.
Very smart move by Nintendo securing one of the most coveted sequels in gaming right now.
I'm gonna hold out for the obligatory price drop this spring.
Pre ordered my WiiU just now. Not sure about other GS's but mine will probably have a preorder cut off on Sunday. They expect 20 a day and I was #4 already. Also it's only 25 down if you have the rewards card.

You pump the breaks. Check any gaming sites that have done lists of sequels that should happen. Bayonetta is ALWAYS on the list.Woah, pump the brakes. The series has a small following, but that's about it. It's a very niche series. The original didn't even sell 2 million. It's a nice exclusive to have though.
it's true . It was seen as niche but alot of people saw both the reviews and the word of mouth was enough that there's a cult fallowing of sorts. I won't be surprised if this sells really well. Where are these lists? I think you are getting a little caught up in the moment just a little bit. If there was such a demand and such anticipation, then why did the first game barely sell and why did the sequel get scrapped at one point? Again, it's a really nice exclusive for them and I am glad they were able to keep the IP going, but lets not make it more then what it is.
Really? I wasn't sure if that was official or not, either way, before this announcement I wasn't holding my breath. It was canceled.
And I'm glad that they did, as the first game was good and left a lot to be desired, which is why I wanted a sequel. Now we're getting it.Platinum didn't have the funding for the project. Nintendo swooped in and literally saved this game.
Pretty cool.http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/09/13/tekken-tag-tournament-2-wii-u-has-exclusive-content
Nintendo exclusive costumes and skins when this releases. Also Super Mushroom mode.
One can only dream.Along with Shenmue 3.![]()
If you have a good graphics card, get a DC emulator now and play the first two. They are definitely worth it.Maybe they can coax Sega into making that exclusively for this. Never played it but that could be another tactic that would definitely capture people's attention.
We'll see. I won't be surprised in a year if we see Bayonetta get its own "Sigma" enhanced version on the other systems. That'll be the loophole to get Platinum to release it elsewhereMass Effect 1 was published by MS and we will never see it on another console. It's all in the agreement. If Nintendo doesn't want it on another console, it won't be. IMO, they have it locked down.
Did they say anything about the 8GB memory being expandable? I prefer the white model and don't really want Nintendoland, so I'd rather save the $50.

Nintendo Wii U expandable memory, TiVO integration explained
by Alexander Sliwinski Writer RSS on Sep 13th 2012 12:55PM
Nintendo's Wii U will launch with 8GB and 32GB internal memory models, but those limitations will be easily expandable.
"You can plug in a full-on three terabyte hard drive if you want. I'll love you as a digital consumer," Nintendo America CEO and president Reggie Fils-Aime told Engadget. "The reason we did it that way is that the cost of that type of storage memory is plummeting. What we didn't want to do is tie a profit model to something that's gonna rapidly decline over time. We'll let the consumer buy as much as they want, as cheaply as they want."
The memory expansion, like that on Sony's PlayStation 3, will be available through USB on Flash sticks or external hard drives.
Fils-Aime also stated the Wii U doesn't have the TiVO hardware built in. The DVR functionality will require an existing TiVo or DVR unit. How the two pieces of hardware will connect and work together is currently unclear.

Yes. You can use any SD Card or External HDD of any size that you desire.Did they say anything about the 8GB memory being expandable?
The $50 is not just towards the game though. You get larger storage, charging cradle (both will ship with Gamepad chargers), stands for console and controller, Nintendo Network Premium subscription or Deluxe Digital Promotion for two years (and the included discounts that come with that).I prefer the white model and don't really want Nintendoland, so I'd rather save the $50.
