http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.T.A.R._Labs
S.T.A.R. Labs (Scientific and Technological Advanced Research), is a fictional research facility, and comic book organization appearing in titles published by DC Comics. It first appeared in Superman #246 (December 1971) and was created by Cary Bates and Rich Buckler.
In Man of Steel, S.T.A.R. Labs has several cameo appearances through the film.
But what about BvS? Will Star Labs be the ones doing the worlds first(presumably) alien autopsy? Will they reverse-engineer kryptonian tech?
Also check out their locations list from the Star Labs wikipedia, pay attention to what their Metropolis branch does:

Also, i have previously in another thread speculated that Holly Hunter could be playing a scientist working for Star Labs. I would like to add Lana Lang to that speculation. (Just from me and Rodrigo90's discussion in the Lana Lang thread)
Edit: I of course didnt mean that Holly Hunter would play Lana Lang. I meant that she could be playing a scientist and if Lana Lang makes an appearance in BvS, maybe she also is a scientist.
