Will SM3 be believable? or even logical?!

I think this movie will be eaten up by the movie going public. Everyone going to SM3 has most likely seen one of the first two at least and has an idea of what this reality is all about. If Raimi decides to stretch it a bit into a more sci-fi realm I don't think anyone will have a problem with it.

I know some fans here are worried that non spidey people might think that a symbiote is far fetched but I believe that when the symbiote bonds with parker and the first time the audience sees the symbiote liquify and create a mask around parkers head from the rest of his suit, the crowd will go ape for it and eat it up. (There haven't been any shots of that but seeing as Parker is trying to rip the mask off from the rest of the suit in the bell tower scene in the trailer, one can assume that the suit is one complete piece and the symbiote creates and takes off the mask at peter's will.)

Ha yes yes it isnt a true story but all these things crammed in one a casual movie goer might get confused...or is my point bleak?


Let me say that stan lee and todd mcfarlene are geniuses, but every next movie seems more and more unbelieveable....what next a man finds a radioactive rock on the street, eats it and becomes rock man?

A studio wouldnt spend over 300 million on a movie that they thought people wouldnt go to because theyd be saying "oh gosh this is so unbelievable". Lord Of The Rings had little people with furry feet riding dragons. And you're sitting here wondering whether or not the Spider-Man movie will be too unrealistic or not? Oiy...Oiy....this is getting bad.

Oh and by the way there was a movie out there about a man finding a radioactive rock and becoming "Meteor Man". It's a cult movie. Made a lot when it came out. Read up on it. Even spawned a comic book.

SM3 will be the most awesomest of awesome movies.... awesome. But I dont think it will be as "logical" as the first 2 movies

SM1 - A guy inhales some green gas, goes nuts. Thats pretty logical, I've seen it happen.

SM2 - A guy creates metal arms, they get stuck to him. Not as logical as SM1, but still okay.

SM3 - A guy turns into freakin' SAND, Flying Snowboards, And magic DOG POOH covers Spidey's suit.

Not logical at all, but then again is being bit by a radio active spider logical?

Ok, i know you must suspend all beliefs and humanly characteristics for movies like this but, let me break down all the things that might (MIGHT) make this fail for regular movie-goers:

- An asteriod or whatever comes to earth with an alien substance on it which is like a parasite and can form to any shape, has intelligent thoughts and ideas and can cause its host to not be concious of its actions

-A man escapes a new jersey prision (i say NJ bc of the new photos on the front page) and ends up retreating to somekind of radiation or energy testing facility on a beach and gets caught up in it while sand particles form with his body.

- man goes insane due to a toxic serum/hallucenogen and flies through the air on a jet board with miniture bombs and knives,while seeing his dead father order im around and have conversations with him.

- and also, if spidey just goes all black then why does Venom have large, sharp teeth and a large long tongue and spidey doesn't?

these are facts from the film which to me seem like the casual movie-goer may be angered/confused by

Agreed 100%...Who gives a damn what the "casual movie goer" may or may not think. All I care about is if I personally like the movie...I couldnt give a **** if joe schmoe over there thinks it was too sci-fi or unrealistic...Enjoy the movie for what its worth and dont worry about what everyone else thinks. Thats the exact reason why hollywood movie reviewers shouldnt be paid for what they do...I'm not going to pay someone to find out wtf they thought of a movie...I'm going to go see it myself and formulate my own opinions like the rest of intelligent sociecty. IMO this thread is pointless and should be treated as such.

People bought someone getting superpowers from a spider, I think they will buy all of these. Especially the alien parasite thing, since people speculate about the possible danger of foreign bacteria/parasites from space.
