I think Will is kinda like Adam Sandler ins which when he does something somewhat different, it's not receptive enough. So they fall back to the status quo. To the expected. That's my take on Will Smith thus far. I like him though

I think Will will (no pun intended lol) be fine in this. I just hope Rapace impresses me here. Outside of Prometheus and the Millennium series, I find her work to be very blah and sometimes even annoying.

It's kind of easy to compare them. They used to be watchable until 2008 and now they do crap. Both are still likable dudes, though. But Will Smith really needs to keep his kids away from us.

I feel the same way. The dude's been single handedly carrying great films for dang near 20 years, and after a flop, it's like... that just didn't happen? He's's not an immensely satisfying entertainer, he's just watchable? He's just the fresh prince? Pursuit of Happyness wasn't a great film because After Earth wasn't a great film? That's some grade A fickleness. It's ridiculousness deserves to be spotlighted.
