Will this be our future?

Oh my god

"what's the currency of the United Kingdom?"
"what's the United Kingdom??"

Triangle = 4 sides"

Edit :: Hmmmmm After further viewing they edited this with diffrent questions to diffrent videos

Not a question I couldn't answer yet...anyways are real problem is that we don't teach logic and reason in schools. Yeah we could use some help factually, but people don't know how to think for themselves in this country.

Name a country that's name begins with a 'u'? And people actually answered with Yugoslavia and Utah. Frickin' Utah! :csad:

It just frightens me as to how many people looked up to Bush and support him in that video.

To be fair I have no idea what John Howard (which is the PM's name) actually looks like.

To be fair he has of kind of a "selective group" here...like most of the people he is talking to look stupid...I haven't seen one person who dresses well, or is looking presentable.

But still, they all (well alot of them anyway) might seem to represent the average American. Which is just scary.

You should watch 'Idiocracy' when you get the chance. It's scary how art imitates life in that movie.

Well how much of those interviews turned out like that. Did he have to do a hundred or maybe more, what about all the people who knew "krygikistan" (or whatever) wasn't a country, what about the people who answered every question right? Is the sample truly random, because I guarentee you sampling error is huge in that. Granted, Americans don't do well in surveys, but they do a lot better than that.

Those "look at how stupid we are, man on the street interviews" are editted. I bet I could go to Australia and make a similar video with similar questions.

'Star Wars is based on a true story, true or false?'

'...true'

:woot:

It sorta scares me that someone could do a segment that's very obviously meant for and edited to produce comedy, and you actually take it as a fair cross section of America.

I'm not saying there aren't people that stupid. I'm not saying there aren't a lot of people that stupid, but at least have a distinguishing and cautious eye when it comes to these things. That's the only way you'll ever be able to tell propaganda from truth, and comedy segments from serious news segments.

I didn't find that funny, because if you don't know anything about Star Wars it is quiet possible it's based on some real life historic event with the setting changed (for example Predator is based on Beowulf even though it's set in modern era and all the named are changed).

That said, the best one was Triangle having "no/four sides"...that's pretty bad.

OMG, these people are stupid and give us, Americans, a terrible name. :D  :whatever:

Wow, its times like this when I notice that Bush is actually a genius for the U.S....and that is not good. :csad:

omg im an ******* and i knew 3/4 of the answers. If i only tried more lol

Don't worry, there are still smart peaople (at least lets hope so) :)

Jay Leno has been doing this for years and it gets laughs every night...yes, there are alot of stupid people out there, but the people with common sense and some idea of the world around them seem to outnumber them at least 3 to 1...on a side note, I believe everyone should be given a test like this every 5 years, and if you dont get at least half the answers right, you get taken outside and shot twice in the back of the head...trust me, you'll see America become less hated right quick if you start getting rid of some of these people :o

I just finished watching the whole video...

  :whatever:

I can't decide if I was getting dumber by the moment just from watching that video...or if I now feel like I am the smartest person in the country.

Ouch, I hate people that make my country look stupid.

To be fair though, they could've shot the same video in any other country around the world and still gotten stupid answers.

This one wasn't quite as funny as Rick Mercer's Talking to Americans but it was still pretty good. There's dumb people all over the world, not just in the USA. Up here, most of the dumb people are coaching their kid's minor hockey team like it's the NHL :p

I'm sorry but that just cant be reall..either that or it was a very small amount of people (they did repeat a people a lot). How the **** can you not know the three sides of a triangle? Or the currency of the UK if your visiting the country??? I dont believe it I think its scripted.

It was obviously filmed in L.A. and Texas.

I'm still disturbed that when I graduated high school, most people thought that Ben Franklin was a president. :(

typical questioniares... you'll find answers like that everywhere in the world if you question enough people..... remember, 25% of the world is ******ed...

I talked to a girl a couple of nights ago, and I swear she seemed to think this...because I brought up Ben Franklin (who she seemed to know was bisexual) and then made some passing comment about him being President, I think.
