Will X-Men 4 be called X-Men Resurrection

X4: Death of Wolverine

Don't worry Logan, there's room for one more grave in the back yard. No, you can't be next to Jean.

I like that one. But why bother give him a grave its a waste of money. Just cremate the bastart and put throw his remainings at alkali lake.

X-Men 4: Body Count

I dunno why but it came to mind at first but considering how many Jean Killed at Alctraz...whatever how you spell it... lol

It's not similar...........it's exactly what happened :)

I believed that it was explained before that Jean recreates a copy of herself to grow in a cocoon. If she dies her essence seeks out this copy and brings it to life. At the same time she recreates another copy to grow. Maybe someone who knows more detailed info can help out.

I like that. why ? cause its Phoenix preventing Jean's body and soul from decomposing. lol

I've always liked the idea that Logan killed Jean but Phoenix still yearned to live. Like the lake incident, Phoenix reserves the essence and psyche of Jean in the "astral planes" and reposses her or someone elses body as the Professor did.

I like it too, because it keeps things consistent. In X2, Jean surrendered herself to her fate and died, but something strongeer, deep deep inside wanted to live more than Jean was willing to die. The whole thing was coming from the subconcious, and without knowing it, Jean survived, to come back later, either when she finished healing, regrowing, or when Scott came out to wake her up. Certainly if she was able to survive a mountain of water crushing her, Logan's claws should be a piece of cake. Once again she was willing and resigned to die, but something deeper inside could have wanted to live. Now granted it would look a bit cheesy to see her literally rise from her grave, have the ground split open and her climb out or crack the gravestones, but there could be more... poetic ways to show her resurrection.
One example could be to do a storyline involving Essex, who tries to dig up her grave to steal some DNA from the body, be caught by Wolverine, only to discover that the grave is empty (and Logan KNOWS she was in the coffin). Or, have her spirit be resurrected from the same place she first came. At Alkali Lake.
You're only limited by your imagination and creativity. Oh and what the studio execs let you write. That last one is a doozy.

Of course what I said about depends on how you treat the Phoenix. If the Phoenix is Jean, Jean using her powers at her full potential the way mother nature intended for her to evolve, then it makes sense that she can be a being who may rise after death, and choose to either remain anchored to humanity or go onto something greater.
Oh the other hand if "Phoenix" is just a mental derangement and involves Jean throwing furniture and cars around the place, then it's not so... poetic anymore.

Shouldn't that be X4: Wolverine IV ? :)
Yeah I thought about that, but oh well... you get the picture ;)

Phoenix makes a body for her self that's a clone copy of Jean grey. She then leave the real Jean in a cacoon in the bottom of.....i want to say jamaica bay? :p. She was found by the Fantastic Four. Also before her Madelyne prior had a shot of the Phoenix powers. She spent a long portion of her life in that stinkin cacoon. :(

That was the first time. There have been other times. I remember something about her cucoon being on the moon and being woken prematurely.

here we go again, listen, there are so many plot holes left on X3 that it will be hard to show a storyline of apocalypse
