Willow the vampire hunter

So, I was watching an episode of "Buffy" the other day (don't as me about that..).

And it showed a scene where Willow, Oz and Xander were taking out one vampire. They were really close to beating him.

Willow even blurted the typical Buffy deadpan retorts.

So, I ask: are the Scoobies good vampire hunters?

Could Willow take on vampires on a regular basis like Buffy does?

Did Buffy teach her how to be a good vampire hunter?

And what about Xander and Oz? How would they fare going out each night to hunt vampires?


I mean, if Gunn can kick vampire ass, why not Willow?

The thing is, the Scoobies don't have Slayer powers. They wouldn't be able to take on vampires by themselves regularly. Usually, they serve as back up for Buffy.


However, by the end of season seven, Willow basically became the sorceress supreme of Earth, so she could probably just kill demons with mind bullets.

At the time of said episode, no way. Frankly, I think the Scoobs were pretty lucky that none of them died or were seriously injured when taking on the vamps without Buffy. Afterall, that are inexperienced vampire hunters, whereas Buffy was the Slayer, and even she tripped up once or twice.

'Cept now, of course, Willow would own every last vampire that attempted to take her on.

Nevermind him. He's stated numerous time's that he thinks Buffy sucks. What compelled him to watch is beyond me.
