tried to get tickets to this.. but was too late, they sold out :(

SMG recently talked about the possibility of a buffy film (if the fans approved the script), and they pretty much have the whole cast there minus David and Anthony so a part of me hopes they announce something, especially since Eliza and Sarah are there, who seem to typically not be at many of these events.

so bummed i missed out :(

Damn, I would of loved to gone to that. They should do a tour around the world withe reunion show. Yeah I know I'm clutching at straws!

My first thought was wondering if SMG would actually be there since she chose not to do some of events when the show was on teh air

Well, it's not as if her schedule is going to prevent her from attending!:woot:

ya i was surprised as well... she seemed to have went through a phase where she wanted to lose the buffy image... but now she seems to have accepted it an truly realizing her impact on pop culture

Heh heh. Yeah, Gellar's not nearly as busy in film as she was during the show. I still want to see Southland Tales, though, dammit! Can I assume there's been little movement on a DVD release?

ya I think she has become more accepting of the role, but the last two years of Buffy she was really busy with movies, getting married.

But now its David who looks like he wants to distance himself from Angel.

Hopefully someone can record the session and upload it to youtube or give us a transcript of what goes on.

Wait a minute, Gellar actually showed up for an in person appearance? She hasn't even attended a online chat session since the day Buffy came out.

which in my wildest dreams is kinda where my spark of hope comes to play in that theres a reason for it... and not just because it's 10 years... "really hopes for movie announcement"

and if anyone can keep a look out for what all happens at the event since i can't go, that'd be awesome

I wish there was a world tour Buffy was awsome, or even a film would be great :D

Well if they did a film my guess would be it'd be a buffy/angel film

to my knowledge (havent read them yet, waiting on trades), but the 2 comics have a slight gap in what exactly the events are happening between the show to comic seasons maybe a movie could fit there? if not.... erm base it on the comics or after them

I can't really see them being able to make a buffyverse film. Where the Angel comics go would make it quite difficult for his gang to meet up with Buffy's. Or they could just ignore those comics, I would like that very much!

which is why it might take place during seasons... as in an untold story, or after the comics would be my guess

"After the comics" would be a long time from now, judging from Whedon's comments about how long Buffy's series will be. He keeps bumping the number up. I think it was past 40 issues last time I heard anything on it.

well if (and big if) a movie was to come, it'd be at least 2 years till that happened (prob more), and he could easily space out an arch to fit a movie between it. wouldn't be the first time that has happened

I don't know. Alot of characters were developed to a great extent by the end of the show. I'd hate to see Willow being meek again instead of a very powerful witch or seeing Spike as bad again or something.

One thing is for sure, Buffy would need to go back to being 'the one', too easy having 1000's of slayers!

Uh... really? I don't think I've ever heard of a comic going on hiatus to provide time for a movie...

hiatus, no.. just gap in space of movie... buffy would be a slight tweak due to the face its a show, in comic form. I look at it as movie tie in comics, yet not just tie in issues like other comic movies. due to the fact there diff universes. i look at it as well like the X3 video game.. its a precursor to X3 and fills in the events between the 2nd and third. it wouldnt go on hiatus.. at all one arch would end, the next would take place after the events of the film

Eh, I never liked the cross-media tie-ins. If Buffy's a show, I follow the show. If it's a comic I follow the comic. I don't know about this whole following a movie and a comic with the movie occupying a gap in the comic's story and whatnot.

ur over complicating it... :o

At least he's got Bones. When that show premiered, I never thought I'd be able to see him as anything but Angel. But here we are, three seasons deep, and now I can't think of him as anyone but Seely Booth. Him and Angel are two very different characters, and I love how David Boreanaz plays Booth. The humor with him and Bones is fantastic.

Is he really trying to distance himself from Angel? That's sad. :(

I'm not positive but I read that David Boreanaz was going to be taping a video for the event that family plans was what kept him from appearing.

Man who would even care about a buffy movie at this point? This show limped it's way for 4 seasons before being cancelled. The best days of BTVS were in it's first 3 seasons. Then it started getting all pretentious and completely lost the charm and appeal which made it famous to begin with.
