Windows Movie Maker

So, my movie maker has problems running mpeg's, avi's, divx avis. All it uses is WMV now. Before I reformatted my computer it was fine, but now it's messed. What gives

Well if you reformatted did you load DIVX back onto your pc? because that would be why that doesnt work...

DIVX works in Windows Media Player and Quicktime and stuff. Just not Windows Movie Maker. Only thing that works in movie maker is WMV now. It's supposed to work with everything. Most MP3s wont even work!

Mine is like that too. One day it just stopped recognizing all other formats. I just gave up trying to fix it, but when I have a problem I google it and see if others have had the same problem and if there are any fixes for it.

I googled, I guess it just sucks now. The update is no longer available. That might be it...

You're probably missing the right codec. I had the same problem a little while ago.
