Winslet, Damon, Cotillard & Law in Soderbergh's 'Contagion'

Sounds creepy!

A reader recently caught a test screening for the film and sent us their reactions saying it was “incredibly intense, disturbing and way too feasible to not feel slightly sick to your stomach the whole time.” They said that “the uneasiness that the film creates is similar to that while reading ‘The Road,’ in that the horror comes from the situation, but also the truths in what this type of situation can bring out in human nature.” With multiple storylines, our source told us, “this is just great storytelling. There are several complicated pieces to the puzzle and everyone is making ethically questionable decisions, yet the virus itself makes for a sinister enough antagonist that there’s still a clear foe to be fought.” Sounds intense. They also mentioned that audience members gasped at certain points during the film and that it left you wanting to reach for some hand-sanitizer so yeah, we can’t wait to see this for ourselves.

Brief footage preview from yours truly ET.

Looks good so far, the trailer shouldn't be far away so I hope we get it real soon.

And I haven't seen this before but I think it could be a new poster, found it in a Collider article, it could be a fake one as well.

Another apple trailer that just gives me a quicktime symbol with a question mark. :(

I don't know if I should watch this. I'm way too much of a hypochondriac as it is.

Looks familiar. What movie did this again? Oh wait, EVERY SINGLE EPIDEMIC FILM EVER MADE THAT'S NOT A ZOMBIE FILM!!!! Pete's sake, Soderberg, you are not John Carpenter. Your use of the "paranoia" tactic is not effective. It just makes this film look even more contrived and overdone. "Don't talk to anyone or you will get infected"?? Really? VIRUSES DON'T WORK THAT WAY, YOU MORON!

The plot isn't original but man, with Soderbergh directing it and rounding up a fantastic cast it has the potential to be great. Superb trailer by the way, it made me want to go and watch my hands.

Settle down. It's a movie.

and there was a time people thought you could get aids by talking to a person infected

people are paranoid

Even for a movie, though, that's BS. You can't even get a COLD just by talking someone. That's not now how diseases work!
The premise of this movie when it was first announced was that information spreads like a virus, and is just as dangerous. I think that's the real aspect that may or may not cause humanity's downfall in this film. So that line actually fits the theme.

The trailer looks great to me. I love how their cast is so stacked that they don't even hesitate to put in the trailer, "yeah, we just told you Paltrow dies in the beginning. So what, who cares."

I have an issue with the cinematography. It looks like a video camera. That's fine for this movie i guess but I pray that The Hobbit won't look like this in terms of frames per second.

I don't care for as a director Soderbergh but I'll admit this looks pretty good.

Yeah, you could tell it's filmed digitally but I'm guessing that's what Soderbergh is going for, a realistic and clinical look so it looks like real life instead of a movie I guess. It could work for some and not work for others but I like. The fact that it's filmed in RED EPIC is exciting.

i think it can work.it looks like a good directed movie. but i dont understand what is scary. ???

i must ask this. when in the middle of the trailer they stop everything to show a monkey. was this meant as a stupid joke or do they really think that we are that stupid that they will promote this movie with a monkey?

Actually the say not to talk to anyone or touch them. When a person talks they expell microscopic salivi that can land on the face of those you are talking to. So yes if in close enough proximity a virus could be transferred this way. Also talking initaiates interaction that could lead to contact. In a situation like this it is best to not interact with people on any level. Considering this is a movie the virus could be spread in some new fashion such as by breath. Implausibe ? Likely, but things evolve, and they state that it is adapting. Mother Nature can come up with some effective ways to kill us. I wouldn't get my panties in a wad over one simple line.

Movies looks like it has potential. I will wait for more reviews, though.

Damn, the trailer was gripping as hell, so yeah, can't wait to see this film. And the cinematography looks obviously fantastic with the close-ups and quick-cuts.
