The Amazing Spider-Man 2 With Great Sequel Comes Great Lounging - Part 1

All of Iron Man's Villains are plain terrible,so saying Mandarin is his Joker/Lex Luthor/GG is like 'In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king'...If you're catching my drift

99% of Iron Man's villains? Absolutely yes. But The Mandarin is definitely a top-notched villain. I won't argue this because you consider someone like Venom as a top-tier villain, lol.

I was never into magic, which is why I hated the character even more
And I am glad he was used in IM1,that movie is a perfect 10 without him

I like the idea of magic being used in the MCU, not personally for my taste, but to be built around an expanding universe, magic could definitely be used and that's why I'm opened in seeing it being used with Mandarin. And yes, while Iron Man was a phenomenal film(Imo, the best film in the MCU and certainly in the top five of my favorite CBMs), I think if Mandarin was used, he'd be a great villain and more than some caricature that Shane Black used.

Well we differ here
I don't like magic, which is why I am not too keep on Mysterio in a movie(even though he is a trickster per se)

I just wouldn't want to see Mysterio period :funny:

Still it was late

Still a dumb cop. Admit it. Just like the dumb cop that shot Batman's EMP gun(see what I did there...I continue to bring up bad moments in films I like...I don't really see you doing the same besides trying to "explain" them).

You know what, the cop wasn't dumb,he did his job. They were supposed to apprehend Spidey and he was doing his job
It was Stacy who acting selfish in letting Spidey go just because his daughter was in danger

He did his job into shooting someone that he wasn't meant to. He did his job, huh? :lmao:

Funniest explanation ever.

He did not do his job. A happy trigger dumb cop is not doing his job when his captain starts to speak which ended up him telling the cop to do otherwise than to shoot Spidey. Doing his job...hell no.

You must be new here.
I have never defended BB either. It has a lot of flaws aswell.Just like TDKR

I must be new here? No, I'm the one that continues to slam most of your points down ever since you signed up on here :woot:

Hello, I'm Anno. And I'm saying you should still do your research and go back to moments that can be looked at that were more awful, such as Loeb sending the entire police force to The Narrows if you forgot, that's all.

What part of 'Assault rifles' and 'tracers' do you not understand?
Those are the same weapons? Yeah right!

The men who targets both Spidey and Lizard in NYC had the same protection and used the same gunfire. Give me a ****ing break

Do they use the assault rifles against Spidey?
Did they give the Lizard a warning?

Ahhh, so they didn't try to shoot Spidey too? Guess I was watching the wrong film...

Exactly,after they capture him
He would have dropped at the Lizard point had they managed to capture him

That's just assuming greatly. Captain Stacy was focused on finding Spidey first and foremost. Why he had a warrant for Spider-Man.

Maybe it lead to the same destination?
Joker was damn clever,he knew there were two ways to reach there and he blocked the open road, and the SWAT were forced to take the tunnels

It lead to the same destination alright...the prison they were escorting Dent to. Even the dumb extra sitting next to Gordon knew they'd be sitting ducks if they went into the lower street, and they were. If they only did the smarter thing and gone to the OTHER side of the street, Joker's plan would've been ruined from the jump.

You say Joker was "damn clever"...well, he was certainly smarter than the SWAT that decided to go to the lower street than the other ****ing side of the street

Fast and Furious 6

Probably the worst movie I've ever seen

You haven't seen that many films.

Action was good at places but over the top most of the time.Laws of Physics and Gravity and just swept aside

Because first and foremost, the Fast & Furious films are known for their accuracy with the laws of physics :funny:

Worse than Batman & Robin? Worse than The Room? Worse than The Last Airbender?

Batman & Robin isn't terrible...it's just a parody, lol.

No! B&R is terrible, there is no excuse. Meet The Spartans is a parody, and that sucks too. Same with Epic Movie, Scary Movies, etc...

Hey! I enjoy Batman & Robin whenever I watch it :argh:

It's not the caliber of a CBM you expect, but it's satisfying in its right of making you chuckle. Terrible? Not by a longshot, nor is it disappointing. Batman Forever, the sequel to Batman Returns, is terrible. Schumacher just Schumacherized Batman even more. The film in that series of four that is the worst is what was the sequel to BR, Batman Forever.

B&R is like the M Night movie The Happening. It's so awful that you can't help but laugh at it.

I love The Room. It's such a perfect movie to watch when you're with friends and need a laugh.

99% of Iron Man's villains? Absolutely yes. But The Mandarin is definitely a top-notched villain. I won't argue this because you consider someone like Venom as a top-tier villain, lol.
And I wont because consider The Spot as one

They they didn't use him because he would too unrealistic for an origin movie which was trying to be realistic and they were cent percent right

So you would rather ruin a movie than ruin a villain?

Still nowhere near Foley

There was a arrest warrant against Spider-man and they were allowed to use force if he tried to escape.
He doesn't need to change that just because the captain got selfish

And I'm saying you should still do your research and go back to moments that can be looked at that were more awful, such as Loeb sending the entire police force to The Narrows if you forgot, that's all.
Which is why I say that BB has as many flaws as TDKR,if not more

The men who targets both Spidey and Lizard in NYC had the same protection and used the same gunfire. Give me a ****ing break
Really,are you blind?
You cant spot the tacer they shot him with?
Which is why he was temporarily paralysed

Ahhh, so they didn't try to shoot Spidey too? Guess I was watching the wrong film...
Not with real guns(except that last cop)

That's just assuming greatly. Captain Stacy was focused on finding Spidey first and foremost. Why he had a warrant for Spider-Man.
Because he wasn't sure about the Lizard after the bridge accident since no one got a clear look at him.He could positively place Spider-man and hence released a warrant

Do you realize what a fool he would look like if he said 'I am also releasing an arrest warrant against the lizard like creature' without and concrete proof

So you are asking them to take the wrong way and drive in the opposite direction?

Because first and foremost, the Fast & Furious films are known for their accuracy with the laws of physics :funny:
Its the first Fast I've seen
And you expect some kind of reality to action set pieces rather than people flying in the air like they are superman

You lost all your credibility with that

Quite the opposite. :o

Deep down, everyone loves Batman & Robin whether they know it or not.

I've only seen FF and 2F2F.

There are some pretty great lines in both of those. Lemme give you an example. Here are three of Tyrese's lines in 2F2F:

"Whatchu talkin' 'bout homeboy we know what we seen!"
"Check her homie...check her."
"Stay yo ass off my home boy's boat"

I just played The Last of Us demo that came with Ascension. Holy mother of God. This is just fantastic. This is the horror game that I've been waiting for since I became a gamer in 2006.

And I wont because consider The Spot as one

:lmao:

When the hell did I ever say The Spot was one of Spider-Man's greatest villains?

Holy **** this is hilarious...I said The Spot is interesting and I think he should definitely be put in a movie, but I NEVER in my natural life have said The Spot is one of Spider-Man's greatest villains. Oh man, I needed a good chuckle today.

They they didn't use him because he would too unrealistic for an origin movie which was trying to be realistic and they were cent percent right

So you would rather ruin a movie than ruin a villain?

Uno - Jon Favreau wasn't going to ruin Mandarin. There was an idea floating around that Mandarin was going to be a terrorist, and a real one, not like a drunken British actor. The idea was also around when Jon F. decided to use Obadiah Stane rather than keeping him for later and they had a partnership in the first film.

Dos - It would keep a realistic take on Mandarin so it wouldn't ruin anything about the film. Mandarin would just take Raza's place but be much more important that Raza was in the film.

Tres - It would save us from the butchering that was Iron Man 3 that retconned the entire Ten Rings terrorist organization that was meant to be a real thing in the first film that wanted to use weapons, not some ploy that a scientist envisioned to hide his Extremis project when they reacted wrongly.

Still nowhere near Foley

Hrm...actually, pretty worse than Foley. Foley never did anything truly wrong except wanting the entire GCPD to go after Batman. If you want someone to blame on the tunnels thing, blame Gordon. Don't blame Foley for no good reason

There was a arrest warrant against Spider-man and they were allowed to use force if he tried to escape.
He doesn't need to change that just because the captain got selfish

So now are you...are you blaming Captain Stacy because he ordered the cop to stand down? Lol.

Which is why I say that BB has as many flaws as TDKR,if not more

Cool

Really,are you blind?
You cant spot the tacer they shot him with?
Which is why he was temporarily paralysed

They shot him WITH A BULLET.

But are you saying a tracer makes him bleed?

Not with real guns(except that last cop)

So some had other weapons that only paralyzed him, sure, but others had the same gunfire, yay me

Because he wasn't sure about the Lizard after the bridge accident since no one got a clear look at him.He could positively place Spider-man and hence released a warrant

Do you realize what a fool he would look like if he said 'I am also releasing an arrest warrant against the lizard like creature' without and concrete proof

No one got a good look at Spider-Man either since I doubt "Crane Dad" was going to say anything about who the guy looked like to the police who wanted to arrest him. So, in that case, Captain Stacy looked like a fool for not knowing anything about this spider character :awesome:

So you are asking them to take the wrong way and drive in the opposite direction?

Cops do what is necessary man, or are you not aware of that? Take the other side of the street, making sure everyone else pulls over, and then get back to the correct side of the street when you pass that destroyed fire truck.

It's not rocket science.

Its the first Fast I've seen
And you expect some kind of reality to action set pieces rather than people flying in the air like they are superman

No one should expect such in a Vin Diesel movie.

You lost all your credibility with that

Should I mention when you lost all credibility?

Quite the opposite. :o

I know I didn't, it's all good Kane

Rhino drawing I did today. I thought my fellow webheads here on this thread might dig it. :)

Apparently, Thor: The Dark World is having some major problems! :/

Good news though: for those of us who pre-ordered God of War Ascension the demo for The Last Of Us is now available.

my download is still going for it :(

damn you aussie internet.

i should be able to play it in an hr and a half lol.

have you played it yet?

Nope I haven't, I'll go and do it in a couple of minutes :)

When the hell did I ever say The Spot was one of Spider-Man's greatest villains?

But the Venom IS Spidey's one of the greatest villians

Uno - Jon Favreau wasn't going to ruin Mandarin.
Like he didn't ruin Whip Lash?

There was an idea floating around that Mandarin was going to be a terrorist, and a real one, not like a drunken British actor. The idea was also around when Jon F. decided to use Obadiah Stane rather than keeping him for later and they had a partnership in the first film.

Dos - It would keep a realistic take on Mandarin so it wouldn't ruin anything about the film. Mandarin would just take Raza's place but be much more important that Raza was in the film.
Idea's good, but the way they did it was way better, with Stane being the baddy
I don't think you can make that movie better,it was damn perfect

Tres - It would save us from the butchering that was Iron Man 3 that retconned the entire Ten Rings terrorist organization that was meant to be a real thing in the first film that wanted to use weapons, not some ploy that a scientist envisioned to hide his Extremis project when they reacted wrongly.
I don't believe in using a movie to salvage another
Had they used the Mandarin he could have come across as a timid villain or something and they would have ended up ruining the sequel aswell.
Not to mention IM1 going wrong would have meant Marvel's avengers plan crashing before it had even started properly

They used their Gray matter, went for a realistic and grounded IM1,and that's the reason the MCU became successful

Hrm...actually, pretty worse than Foley. Foley never did anything truly wrong except wanting the entire GCPD to go after Batman. If you want someone to blame on the tunnels thing, blame Gordon. Don't blame Foley for no good reason
Why should I blame Gordon?
Didn't Foley order the entire police force to go into the tunnel after Bane?

So now are you...are you blaming Captain Stacy because he ordered the cop to stand down? Lol.
Yeah,he doesn't have the authority to take back the arrest warrant

So some had other weapons that only paralyzed him, sure, but others had the same gunfire, yay me
Which they never used on him(except the last guy)

No one got a good look at Spider-Man either since I doubt "Crane Dad" was going to say anything about who the guy looked like to the police who wanted to arrest him. So, in that case, Captain Stacy looked like a fool for not knowing anything about this spider character
Nope
Spidey had been up and around for long, the police at the car thief scene did get a good look at him.Plenty of other guys probably did

Cops do what is necessary man, or are you not aware of that? Take the other side of the street, making sure everyone else pulls over, and then get back to the correct side of the street when you pass that destroyed fire truck.

It's not rocket science.

The Joker would still have succeeded

And even if I count it as a mistake, its nowhere near Foley's.

No one EVER sends the entire police force consisting of thousands into the tunnels at the same time

Should I mention when you lost all credibility?
I don't consider B&R or Sucker Punch as enjoyable movies...so go ahead
