Ahh yes, Spiderdevil and his magic eight ball that's in front of him :o

Oh extremely emotional. I remember feeling so bad when I was younger, really trying hard to stay strong. I watched that scene recently and still felt the same way.
Yeah definitely agree on his weakness portrayal. Too bad that was the only action scene in the movie with the most intensity in it.

Agreed. It's the best part of the entire film, and then a second would be a toss up between Superman hovering over Earth hearing every single person in the world and the plane scene(not so much the entire scene itself, but Supes landing the plane and then walking in giving a "safety advice" speech :funny:).

True. I just feel that overall as a movie, MOS will take the trophy. I enjoyed IM3 though. Wanted to make that clear haha.

 Yah, I think MOS will take the cake easily as being the better film.

There's scenes that I love in SM3 like the birth of Sandman and the underground subway fights. But the movie overall sucks. Superman Returns had a cool plane scene and the scene where he gets beaten up, but that sucked too.

The births of Sandman and Venom and Stan Lee's cameo are my favorite scenes in the entire film. And more importantly, what's rather ironic is one of the worst Marvel films and it happened to have the best cameo from Stan the Man himself, lol.

The only fight scene I can semi enjoy in S-M 3 is the first Harry/Peter fight, but then it just looses its flavor when it's all about Peter trying to snatch that wedding ring and then when Harry knocks himself unconscious(which leads to one of the worst arcs in a CBM).

The BEST Stan Lee cameo? Really?

Its common sense dude,a first movie of a toxic character who has lost most of his popularity overseas? Its not rocket science

And even if we factor that out,the marketing for MOS overseas(especially asia) has been horrendous. And I heard it isn't releasing in a couple of countries?

You cant cross a billion without foreign help, especially superhero movies

It can definitely be a better movie that IM3 though,it seems to be hitting the right notes as far as the Trailers and TV Spots are concerned,Although Snyder is hard to trust with that

Funny you say that, never found anything extraordinary about that cameo

IMO Stan's best is in TASM followed by Daredevil and then maybe the Avengers.

I think the SM3's CGI(Venom and birth of sandman etc),Soundtrack,Fight scenes and still among the best in superhero movies

The BEST Stan Lee cameo? Really?

Oh yes. Stan Lee meeting the character he created felt like the 90s cartoon. So yes, it was REALLY the best cameo by Lee

Do you really think Man of Steel is going to make over a billion dollars?

It can very well make a quite a bit of money. A billion? I think it has a fair chance, especially if Man of Steel ends up being a better film quality-wise than IM3.

You continue to call him a toxic character, and that's fine. But don't honestly say it'll never reach IM3 financially when you just don't know. If you are wrong, you can eat crow if you want to :cwink:

TAS-M's cameo is probably the second best, followed by Avengers. As I mentioned, the way the S-M 3 cameo played out felt like Stan Lee meeting the character he created. That speaks volumes on why I view it as the best cameo.

"You know, I guess one person can make a difference."

"I guess one person really CAN make a difference. Nuff said."

I don't know. Kind of cool I guess, but a little too on the nose. At least Stan got to say something lol.

Nothing's too one the nose when it's a perfect line from creator to creation.

There are another half a dozen cameo in which he meets the main character

How easily you dodge my point about zero marketing in Asian countries

IM3 for example, has made almost 100M in China alone

Well he meets the main character in Daredevil,Fantastic Four 2,Avengers(deleted scenes),Hulk(2003)....

Okay its your opinion, but I doubt anybody else consideres it the best cameo

Mentioning the quote means nothing to you I suppose

Stan Lee saying something profound to his creation.

Lol, okey-dokey. Let's just see MOS numbers when it's released then, lol.

Did you not read my post when I said what I felt was the best parts of S-M 3? Trust me, I won't lose any sleep if no one else thinks the same way as I do around here. And get off your high horse man.

Here, just in case you didn't actually read it:

Can't we all just get along? :yay:

Anno stated why he thinks it's the best cameo, and he's entitled to that opinion. It's also a fair point. As for Man of Steel measuring up to Iron Man 3 at the box office, I really think there's no chance. A first film in a series is very unlikely to compete with the third part of a trilogy, or a film that follows a hugely popular movie like the Avengers. So it's kind of pointless to argue over it. However, I hope it does well. Looking forward to it.

Now that I've mediated this particular argument :cwink:, I can get to the real reason I'm here- saw Star Trek Into Darkness again and as I was hoping and suspecting, I liked it a lot better. I think it's REAL good. It's well written(a couple quibbles aside), well acted, well directed. It's thrilling, beautiful to look at, knows when to be funny and when to be serious, just overall a really good film. I'm thinking an 8.5. If The Amazing Spider-Man 2 turns out this good, I'd be pretty happy. :yay:

If TAS-M 2 just ends up being as good as the first Star Trek film, I'd be happy, lol(saying that because I view STID to be better than the first film, but the first film is still amazing).

Hmmm... Okay

In my opinion,I didn't find it 'profound' or anything

Lol, okey-dokey. Let's just see MOS numbers when it's released then, lol.
Lets see

But I am quite sure its not gonna be 1.1 billion

Speaking of cameos,I hope TASM2 has as good a cameo for Stan the man as did TASM

As much as I love SM1 and SM2,they had pathetic cameos for Stan Lee

As for MOS,I think WB will be extremely happy with anything above 600M since it'll be good enough to make adequate profit and make the character popular again
Also MOS has had a relatively low budget(just 175M compared to SR's 270M),so that works in their favour

It's Superman though. It's gotta make a ton of money. It all depends on how good it is.

My favourite cameos are:

1) Spider-Man 3
2) ASM
3) The Avengers

I really really hope it's a big success. I like Superman, and if anyone deserves a good movie it's him.....and Aquaman maybe, idk.
But I do agree, it will make a lot of money regardless.

Lol. Imagine all the 'Haters Gonna Hate' gifs when Aquaman gets an excellent film.

I had an idea for an Aquaman film where he could summon water elementals, lightning and typhoons. Then again, I'm THAT GUY who's advocating for a Rhino-led Sinister Six.

I have no doubt MOS will be the more entertaining film than IM3. The latest trailer convinced me of that.

I wouldn't mind Aquaman being introduced in the same manner as Justice League: The New Frontier where he's not even a member of the JL but shows up later on in the film to help out.
