I didn't even get to watch E3 because it was on so late and I'm up early for work. But Facebook and Twitter kept me informed :D I'll watch it later when I get home from work.

72% Man Of Steel. Wonder if a lot of the CBM community will turn on this movie like Iron Man 3. At this point the score is lower than when TASM had around this many reviews. It was hovering in the high 70s to low 80s, hopefully it'll go up a lot, it seems somewhat polarizing a bit. To be perfectly honest though, the trailers does give the movie, in my opinion, the feeling that it'll be a little pretinious. I will laugh my a** off though if The Wolverine becomes the most acclaimed CBM of this year considering how overlooked it's been compared to everything else. It would be pretty gnarly.

And by "pretenious" I mean how the movie's trailers give off a sense of self-importance. Like "this movie is epic, important, deep, thought provoking, complex, dramatic, YOU MUST SEE IT!!", it's kind of in your face
with it. I don't know, the trailers make the movie loopk great, by they also make the movie look kind of overly dramatic to me.

You mean the trailers are basically like every superhero movie trailer? ;)

It's sad to hear about the reviews but hey, I love both ASM and IM3 so there's still a big chance I'll love Man of Steel.

By the way, I'm glad to see and hear that Sony is on the top of the mountain with their PS4. I've always thought that Xbox 360 was one of the most overrated things for years and got undeserved praise. Yes, I've played both 360 and PS3 alot and I honestly can't see why 360 has been so popular over PS3.

I am however a little worried that these first PS4 exclusives might be let downs to some degree. It feels like they're playing a little safe, with some obvious exceptions such as the Pixar-looking game. There will however be new games from awesome first party devs such as Santa Monica Studios and Naughty Dog, so I'm still sure PS4 will have the best exclusives in the end, but these initial ones don't excite me too much.

One game that made my jaw drop to the floor however is Tom Clancy's The Division. Wow!! Ubisoft is on a roll with awesome games!

Eh, yeah I've heard of some of what's happening review wise. Look, the best thing to do is to keep a tunnel vision and watch the movie and see what you like. (Not pointing this at you directly) A lot of people just turn on the movie based off reviews without even seeing it yet. I'm personally stoked for the movie. Couple more days!!
And yes, if The Wolverine becomes the best CBM of this year I'll be laughing.

Finally! A fellow Sony fan. Well, I've been a Sony guy growing up, and I do however work for the studio so a bit biased.
Any preview or anything to get a feel of what the graphics are gonna be like?

If there is no god awful, unnecessary twist, I highly doubt the CBM community will turn on Man of Steel like Iron Man 3.

Sony didn't really impress me with games. I think MGS is the only game I saw that's a must have. That 399 price is awesome though, I would have never imagined they would set the price that low. I'll pick one up eventually but not at launch.

MOS is at 74%. :woot: This is the End is at 83 ha

^ Just watched the gameplay footage. Was that supposed to be on the PS4? The graphics look solid as hell. I'm on a cheap laptop right now so I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Looks like it's debuting on Xbox One first. :down They are also putting it out on PS3 and 360 so I guess I'll be picking up the PS3 one.

That's strange. Isn't MGS usually a Sony/PS thing? Damn haha.

I'd wait for the PS4 one. I wanna experience those graphics at full potential.:cwink:

I think it will come to PS4, maybe after Xbox One though. Graphics look great but I didn't see a game that really wowed me. I'll change my mind if they show Uncharted 4 though :wow:

The one negative review I read over in TASM General Discussion makes it sound like MoS is a deconstruction of the superhero ala TDKT. If so, I will most def enjoy it.

Man it better come to PS4 after Xbox One! What kinda s*** is that?! Haha.
Uncharted is popular huh. I'm not much of a gamer but I love MGS.

You never know, they're pretty fickle. TDKR is almost unanimously disliked and trash talked there despite being critically acclaimed.
It could be something small, like changing an aspect of the origin or something, that lights their fuse.

Sony has completely abandoned the Vita though. Like seriously, it's sad how little attention was paid to it, it was almost like it didn't even exist.

Word! I'm sure it will though. And Uncharted is a great series, it's like a playable action/adventure movie. Worth a look imo

It looks nice but just too expensive to me. I was never into portable consoles though. Smartphones have really rendered them unnecessary with all the apps and games you can get on a phone nowadays.

Yeah I've seen some peeps demoing it at a Wal-Mart like last year. There's like guns involved too right? How does it compare to MGS?

Yep guns are the primary weapon. It's pretty different than MGS, you play as a treasure hunter, the character Drake is basically a modern Indiana Jones. It's a lot more action-heavy and not sneaky espionage like MGS. It's a more simpler but fun type of game that's not as complex as MGS, some of the action scenes in the game look straight out of a summer blockbuster, it's that good.

Sounds awesome. I like MGS for the stealth reason but it sounds cool. I'm gonna assume any one of them is a good jumping on point?

This right here is the most shocking news of all. I bet NO ONE expected that a Seth Rogen co-directed/co-written apocalyptic/horror/comedy would be better recieved than Man of Steel lol it even has a higher score
on Metacritic (This is The End: 75, Man of Steel: 62). Definitiely going to seem them both, but I'll probably see This Is The End first, since a well recieved comedy is pretty rare.
