So tonight is the first time I've drank in a looong time, and it was an eventful night. got drunk, went to the park, swang on some swings and slid down some slides, also went on them spinny things (they're like a funny shaped pole with a platform at the bottom you sin around on - better with two people). Fell down a hole, lost my phone (which we found later, god bless my mates for helping me look for it) and asked out the person I like, who said yes. so overall a very good night. yah, I have no idea why Im posting this either. oh well. Happy....Night!!!

I do extremely good in school, but I don't choose honor classes. In order to be in honors classes for math based classes, which I love, I would have had to make the decision back in the 7th grade. I wasn't as good as I was back then at math as I am now. The honor classes I could have been in were History and English. While I'm great at those subjects, I hate them. Doing classes I don't like at a harder level just doesn't seem like a good decision. I actually did Honors History during my Freshman year and I don't even know how I got straight As. I failed so many tests and quizzes. I was only good at classwork, homework, and reports. So I decided not to do that again, and I don't like English at all so I didn't even bother with that. The only honors class I'd feel comfortable with is math, and I had to make that decision pretty much over 5 years ago when I wasn't too fantastic at it. It really sucks. I hope I can still get in a good College and all.

College is what I'm worried about right now, I really need to buckle down junior and senior year and get my gpa up. I'm planning on going to community college for 2 years on financial aid and then transfer to a university

My GPA is pretty spectacular, and I'm ranked 36 in my school out of like over 150 kids. Seeing that it's my Senior year and I still need to take my SATs, I'm worried that I won't be able to find a good College in what is now less than a year. I don't want to go to Community at all if I can help it. My parents will probably make me if I don't find something. I can't just take one year off because I didn't find it in time. I found two Colleges that really interest me. I just need to get worthy SATs score which will be tough. I'm not particularly good at testing.

See I have offers from other colleges already, I'm just worried about paying. I don't what I could get a scholarship for besides guitar. Also I took the sat in the 7th grade and made really high on it and got awarded by the Dean at Davidson University. If I wasn't such an underachiever I could probably had a scholarship for academics smh:doh:

My plan is to go to community college for 2 years and then get guaranteed admission to another uni.

Drinking was a bad choice, I hope you avoid it later, cause I really like you :)
It's nice that they found your lost phone

Does that mean you are among a selection of great - very good students?
You should find a good college you like to enroll in, and worry a little less about SATs, be at the top of your game and enter with confidence

Is there any trekkie here? I just saw that Into Darkness is considered the worst Star Trek film by the fans, and I wonder why! I'm a casual viewer of the saga, so I'm not able to understand it.

Yeah, I get high honor roll and I've gotten awards for getting great grades since Freshman year. I'm superb in all of that, it's SATs that I haven't taken yet, nor do I feel too confident for them.

I'm guessing it's because Into Darkness is just a "lazy" remake of the widely-considered-best Star Trek film - Wrath of Khan

On that note, I just finished watching Oblivion and I don't understand why this isn't rated higher on Rotten Tomatoes. If Moon can get a 89%, I think this is at least a 70%. Imagine my shock when I saw it's only a 54%.

I envy you, I have always been a 6/7 student.

Anyone else pre-order the PS4?

There's something irritating about spending close to $700 on something I can't use for like 84 days.

I pre-ordered Fifa 14, NBA 2K14 and an extra controller.

Don't forget to pre-order the controller! Those will be hard to come across at launch.

If you're a casual viewer of Abrams' movies you'll like it. The thing is many Trekkies didn't like because the last act was a remake of another Trek movie.

Hi there....extremely long time Trek fan.....I've watched the original series since it's original run in the 60's (I'm 56 years old)....and I loved the new movies.

C. Lee has spoken. Everyone will now like the Star Trek movies. It has been done. :D

I do too, but they haven't given my any desire to watch the old shows or films.
