Not exactly the beginning, but he's been narcissistic and on a high horse for as long as I can remember. That's not to say he had his good moments as well. He could bring some great stuff to discussion whenever he didn't feel like picking on everyone who wouldn't agree with him.

I do remember that he once said that he intentionally mocked fans of ASM whenever he could because that entertained him.
