Thanks for your recommendations guys! :)

Games I consider buying now (one of them, not all haha!):

Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time
The Last of Us (it's a given anyway)
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Rayman Legends
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
inFamous 2
That Jak & Daxter Collection that VenomSpawn spoke of

All really good games. If you never played them before I also recommend the MGS Legacy Collection. Contains all of the Metal Gear games (which is like... 8 I think) and an art book for $50. Might be cheaper now actually, since I bought it for that price when it came out in July.

Nice, thanks for the recommendation I'll look it out! :)

I'd scratch Sly Cooper from my list though, tried the demo and it was definitely not for me.

Definitely buy the MGS Collection, it's the best $50 you could spend since The Orange Box.

I still couldn't get into Peace Walker though. I beat the first four games, but for some reason when I tried Peace Walker I just couldn't get into it.

Film school seems to attract a bunch of SuperHero Hypsters

For those of you aiming to work with film or games:

Are your main goal to work with comic book movies/games?

What kind of films/games do you want to work on?

My main goal isn't to make comic book games, but you never know what happens. I think working at Rocksteady would be pretty awesome.

I would like to make third person shooters like Uncharted, Gears of War, etc.

Imagine if you work with Avalanche Studios
That will be awesome

The whole process of filmmaking has just fascinated me. I'm not getting into it to make a comic book film, but that would be a cool place to end up. I'm not going to set unrealistic goals, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be interested in something like that.

What genre in film production interest you the most?

I like action that has something to say (unlike a certain director who tends to gravitate towards explosions), but think it's too early to really narrow down a genre.

And thanks UltimateWebHead!

You can list things you really like in each genre

I really like how Marc shines a focus on relationships in his films, which puts meaning behind the action scenes. I also love the atmosphere and visuals of David Fincher's work. I'm aiming to watch a bunch of acclaimed films over the next couple of months, and maybe some unliked ones as well.

Hold it right there, Pac. Are you really going to call one of the best action directors out like that?

You might want to take JJ Abrams as a movie maker to look up to
Lens Flares not necessary

J.J. Abrams pretty much learned his craft from Spielberg. Pretty heavily influenced by him.

that's so cool (Rocksteady would be my first choice too)! I graduated from audio visual business school and I'm considering to go study game development in a university myself! the only problem is that I would have to move so far from here and I can't really leave our band behind now since we started gigging. So, I'm just trying to do regular work atm, from editing magazines to coding websites

anyway, I'm very glad to announce that my band "Second Page" is starting recordings for a demo this friday, it will include 5 songs, and it will be out hopefully in the beginning of February. We will also shoot pictures of band and maybe do some art for the soon to be opened facebook page where you can also listen the 5 songs for free

Haha I had the same problem. I still haven't finished it. I tried but I could never unlock the true ending and I just gave up.

I just have no motivation to beat it, yet I beat the first four. I just don't get it.
