LEGO is awesome![]()
I stayed up building an Oscorp tower! (it's not quite lego, but it's similar!) until 2am, and I had work at 7am that morning. Totally worth it

I don't like McFarlane's art, his cover style is good though, I admit that
Now I see itJust basic lego, or at least, an equivalent. It's very cool really!
I really don't like McFarlane's art either.

Todd McFarlane is just pure awesomeness. Takes a bit of getting used to, but he is probably in my top 10 comic book artists.

He has a lot of 'lines' on his characters - like they're made of wood, and he uses a lot of crosshatching. He's definitely not lazy with his pen! I prefer other artists, but I gotta say, he is quite distinctive![]()
Same! I always thought his work looked so good. No hesitation.Todd McFarlane is just pure awesomeness. Takes a bit of getting used to, but he is probably in my top 10 comic book artists.
Last year I was reading a lot of the 80s/90s comics and I thought they serve as a counter example to those who were arguing that Peter looks "too cool" on this series. I read issues where Peter was drawn with black leather moto jackets, tight denim, all that.Is it just me, or do a lot of his characters have quiffs?

Peter's never been a bad looking guy. He just lacked confidence at first. Have you guys seen Rebel Without a Cause? I feel like Peter has always been similar to James Dean's character in terms of being a 'social outcast' and angst. Different circumstances, of course (Rebel Without a Cause is by no means a realistic look into teenage angst), but I think that connection can still be made.
Hoping you live that long, and beyondI feel like when I have my inevitable midlife crisis, I will turn to Lego again.
Hoping you live that long, and beyond

TrueDoesn't matter how long you live, you will always have a middle to it.![]()

Like sure Peter is a really smart guy. "Nerd" per se, or geek, whatever, but I don't think there was ever something written in stone where he dresses horribly. I feel after the spider bite, not directly after, but he gained a sense of confidence and "dressed better".
Yeah absolutely. It just fits with his universal factor. But I don't think he wasn't ever supposed to NOT dress "cool". Haha. It's a bit ridiculous. Here here!
It seems like a lot of fans didn't want Peter to grow as a character. I think its cool to see him start out as an outcast/nerd and after becoming Spider-Man, he becomes a "cooler" guy; it gives hope that kids growing up in in school who are outcasts can grow up or achieve anything, y'know?
