The Amazing Spider-Man 2 With Great Sequel Comes Great Lounging - Part 9

I read Josh's review. I stopped following him on Twitter and such after his pretty mean badmouthing of Dan Slott back then. The review's tone didn't come off as extreme as the header with the IT'S AS BAD AS BATMAN & ROBIN.

I form my own but chris stuckmann/jeremyjahns/Richard roper/PeterTravers are some I respect.Roger Ebert was great also

I like to not listen to other people's reviews until after I make my own judgement.

Then I take everybody else's opinions and weigh them up, then I make my final judgement.

Example: I initially enjoyed Origins, then read every review I could before the DVD came out, made a second judgement taking all the reviews into account, then watched the DVD knowing all the opinions, and made my final judgement. I ended up giving it a 4/10 after that.

I do that with every CBM. (Except for certain films, like TDKR, Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Fantastic 4 (2005) and Spider-Man 3)

I like Spider-Man 3. I don't think it's great but it's ok. Watchable.

I also liked Iron Man 2. I don't care about Iron Man. Didn't before RDJ. When I saw it, I thought it was good fun. Not better than one but enjoyable.

I also like X3 but that's because Beast is my favorite X-Men and he was great in it.

I like Wolverine Origins up until that thing he fights at the end with the swords. That ain't Deadpool.

I wanna know what RIM thinks of it... :(

I liked The Lone Ranger and EVERYONE hated it, so oh well.

i liked it also but more as parody then serious movie. it was basically parody of Pirate of Caribbean with cowboys and indians. Jack Sparrow as Tonto. :woot:

Honestly the only CBMs I truly hate are Origins (due to my love of Wolverine really) and Green Lantern (so much wasted potential).

I made a fan edit that removes any reference to that thing being Deadpool.. so basically when he asks "Wade, is that you?"

It's a minor change and it makes it slightly better.

I also loved X3. I never saw the reason for the hate... I loved it because, for the most part, it combined my two favourite X-Men arcs, Gifted and Dark Phoenix.

Iron Man 2 is good. IMO.

I just like that it didn't take itself so seriously. So many movies lately are trying to be real and gritty and they just embraced the over the top ridiculousness of The Lone Ranger show. I appreciated that. It had some parody moments but who cares? It was hammy and funny and still made you care about the characters. It was wonderful, in my opinion.

I thought Green Lantern was ok. I never read the GL comics. When I heard about it, I was like "wait Green Lantern is Kyle Ratner or John Stewart, who the **** is Hal Jordan?" Then I heard it got bad reviews and I never saw it in theaters.

When MCD died, I watched some of his films and he was in GL. I knew the film sucked so I went into the film knowing it would suck and I felt it was ok.

Heh. Me and my dad thought GL was better than TASM1.

It had some crap moments, but it's over-hated. I'd give it a 6.5 out of ten. I'd give the first ASM1 a 7.5/10 for perspective. And Avengers a 9/10. First Raimi SM I'd give an 8/10, and second would be a 7.5/10. I judge comic book movies 50% film quality 50% comic accuracy.

i was expecting something more like classic old western movies, or maybe spaghetti western, but also having few comedic elements in suprise. Movie at the end felt okay. What's really sad is they spent $200 millions on budget of that movie. That movie in different direction take could cost more as $50 million in the best case . Waste of money.

I always felt X-3 was watchable and can entertain it when you remember this was supposed to be an epic sequel to X2 and that it was adapting Chris Clairmonts Dark Phoenix run then its extremely disappointing.

Spider-Man 3 I was way to hype for that film walked out pissed.

Origins =( Don't even wanna talk about it.The wolverine made up for it.

Green lantern Is my 2nd favorite Dc character Personally i'm more of a Kyle fan but they didn't do Hal Jordan justice in that film.

Hehe. Here's a funny one.

Showed my mom The Avengers. She said it reminded her of Fantastic Four. She also found Dark Knight Rises boring.

LOL

So Xmen DOFP after credits clip has been confirmed afterall D: Holy ****! How did that happen?! Was it Sony and Fox agreement or cinema owners just trolling?

That's fair. I thought the big action scenes were great though. The final train sequence was classic radio serial action.

Agree with your mom on that last one, really disappointed with that film after the Dark Knight

My mom also felt Man of Steel was good but too violent. I feel she liked Man of Steel because of Henry because after it, she asked me who played Superman.

My dad got some competition.

Wait, Neno_Kos is Josh Weaving from "that" website?! D: Too many surprises today!
Pacific Rim man, never forget. Oh an IGN called they want their review back :D

Still nothing from 7... Wonder what's taking so long?
