Woman must pay over $1,000,000.00 for illegal file-sharing

They are willing to settle for 5 ,000 but she should hand a check for 1 million postmarked "When Hell freezes over"

Why would they even bother suing her for that much? No way will it ever get paid off.

All that for 24 songs? That's one, maybe two albums. $30 should cover all damages.

Well, she's in trouble for distributing them...so who knows how many people downloaded from her.

The suit dates back to something she did YEARS ago.

good thing i dont share my files, just download them :D
just in case you dont know, people get in trouble for sharing files not downloading files

They could've fined her 150,000 per song under federal law.

how did that ever pass?

If that is the case, then I would think the record companies love file shareer's. They them an amazing profit per song!

I'm gonna go download some music just to stick it to those *****ebags at RIAA

Wow. That'll show her.

Revolting the way our justice system works. A football player MURDERS someone while drunk driving and he goes to jail for 30 days: STORY.

I've illegally downloaded 51 songs!!!
Does that mean I'm going to have to pay millions of dollars?!?!?

I blame Apple for this. If it wasn't for Apple making ipods and itunes so cool for mindless college kids to buy into, everyone would still be downloading the music they don't want to pay for and buy from the artists that deserve it.
